“I will take this time out of my busy schedule to write an honest and lengthy review, especially because I don't have a picture to add (You'll understand why as you read below ?). Well deserved too ?. For the years I've been living in Bowie, FINALLY a Jamaican ?? restaurant I can go to and enjoy every bite! ? when I get home from a long shift at work, the last thing on my mind is going in the kitchen. Ramoun is truly a hunger savior! I am truly impressed by the authentic Jamaican food I can get at my fingertips! I mean, every single thing my family and I have eaten at this restaurant makes our eyes roll in our heads and moments undisturbed, as the food touches our palate ?. I can't begin to name the many items we have tried from regular everyday food, to Special food (specific days for each meal) such as Stew peas, Red beef soup, Seafood and more. The delicious menu selection makes us salvate every time! My fave is the Fry Chicken with Curry Goat gravy on the rice and peas ? my daughter is over the moon for the Stew Peas lol. The true and original selection of drinks they offer are to die for! Not to mention, when that Pineapple ginger hits your throat, it's almost like an assurance of a quick fix to any inflammatory response, common cold has to go away ?. Just recently my family tried the rum cake and they still can't get over how tasty and moist it is! To top it off, the staff is extremely nice and pleasant, the ambience and atmosphere is great and always clean ? and the hours are very convenient. “This is a no-frills place and kind of funky, which I like. We arrived on a Friday evening around 8 pm and it was rather busy. It took 30 minutes to make our food, menawhile we sat at a table listening to the vibrant music being played downstairs and the different music eminating from the bar upstairs. When our food was ready, it came in plastic containers with plastic utensils. We did tell them we were eating in, and I do wish they developed the ability to provide re-usable tableware to save the environment. Aside from that, the food was terrific, our conversation was easy, we did not have to shout over too loud music. It is one of favourite places in the area for Jamaican food.“

“I am a type 2 diabetic. I have a love/hate relationship with food. Finding something that won't spike my blood sugar super high is often difficult and frustrating. I chose the garlic chili salmon, a house salad and a jerk chicken meat only dish (for dinner).First of all, the garlic chili salmon was absolutely delicious. It was packed with flavor, not too spicy and not too sweet; the garlic and chili blend were perfect. My salad was fresh and packed with colorful vegetables such as grape tomatoes, red onion, romaine lettuce and shredded cheese.After about two hours from eating this delicious lunch, my blood sugar still remained within range. My meal was hearty, filling, flavorful and medically compliant. I am happy to say I will be returning.“

They came to the African American Cultural Festival in PA and we were SO thankful for the smiles, service and especially the flavor! We ate it before we could even take pics, haha. Also try the juice...they're FULL of yummy flavor you don't usually find at the grocery store.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian Entrees and Appetizers. Something for everyone!Kid-friendliness: Super happy family serving you...family friendly for sure!Wheelchair accessibility: The food truck is easily accessible for wheelchair users. “The food was 10/10 and the costumer service was 20/10!!! They went above and beyond to provide the catering meal I had order, we forgot to pick up the salads and someone (might have been the GM) drove all the way to DC to bring the salads himself so that we could have the full meal. “Let me get straight to the point....This is the best Jamaican food I've ever had.Period.The oxtails fell of the doggone bone y'all!!!And they were seasoned masterfully. Somebody in that kitchen knew exactly what they were doing! At other restaurants, they usually add too much clove or one spice is dominant above all others. The seasoning on these oxtails was perfectly balanced. The rice and peas were absolutely delicious. The rice was delightfully chewy and ever so slightly sweet. The shredded cabbage had the perfect mix of crunch and spice.And speaking of spicy, let's talk about this sorrel. I've never had sorrel with so much ginger. This drink has some BITE baby.... get you some of that!!The beef patty was flaky, a little spicy and very good. There was a little too much crust (or maybe not enough filling) for me, but it didn't take away from the taste at all.Aside from the incredible food, young lady behind the counter was very nice. Jamaican spots are not really known for their hospitality but it was great to get a plate of incredible food, minus the attitude.Aside from a few seats inside of the restaurant, there is also a small bar as well as a seating area outside with a fire pit. I might have to come back and bring my girls.This spot closes at 8:00 p.m. during the week (9:00 p.m. on Saturday), so make sure you get here in time to get you a plate of this deliciousness.“

“Gotta give this place another try! Food has gotten 10x better! From the moment I walked in—I knew something was different! I could smell the freshly prepared food! They seem to have new chefs who care about the food they are cooking, and serving. I had curry goat, and curry chicken with rice & beans. It was sooo good! Everything was properly seasoned, was served hot, and was reasonably priced! Will definitely come back! Big thanks to Stanley, and his new chefs! Best Jamaican food in the area now! ????“
