About Irie Cafe

Irie Cafe is a Caribbean-inspired eatery that offers a variety of flavorful dishes. The goat curry is a standout, with generous portions of meat and gravy served with a side of dal puri, a bread with a savory stuffing. The sorrel drink is a refreshing addition to the meal, with a pleasant flavor. The cafe has a friendly and personable staff, with ordering done at a counter in a cafeteria-style setup. Prices may be a bit steep, but the portions are generous. Parking is available and the ambiance is nice.

The dishes at Irie Cafe contain typical Jamaican/Caribbean flavors, and the rice and peas are perfectly moist, making the whole plate better. The curry goat is tender and well-seasoned, while the akee saltfish is better than expected. Customers praise the consistent quality of the curry goat, oxtail, and brown stew chicken, and consider Irie Cafe their favorite Caribbean spot in the area.

Staff is so helpful. It all looked so delicious I couldn't decide. I asked for suggestions from the young lady that served me. She shared her favorite dishes which helped me decide. I chose the brown stew chicken with jerk sauce and peppers. Everything was was fresh, favorful and delicious. Nothing was overseasoned or too spicy (I actually prefer spicy). I will definitely be back to try other dishes and fresh juices.

Please pray for me y'all. Paid $12.50 for a leg and thigh. 2 pieces of fried chicken! Then I paid $22.25 for a leg and thigh dinner! And to top it all off I get hit with a 3% labor, benefits and administration fee! WHY?! Supporting black owned businesses comes with a hefty price. Posting this as a warning to all patrons of Irie Cafe. Buyer beware! Officially done patronizing this restaurant. Bye y'all 👋🏾 👋🏾.....

Slightly disappointing for a Jamaican restaurant. The curry goat was pretty good, the rice and peas was calm, the callaloo was trash.
