We love supporting local businesses and kept returning hoping that maybe we just went at bad times. Unfortunately, everything keeps being mediocre. The consistency in portion size and taste could be worked on.
Great barbecue and brisket! Super yum and a great place to watch all the games! My friends really enjoy the beer selection as well as the really friendly atmosphere!
While Howard county doesn’t have a ton of entries into the American bbq category, I would say that Klobys is the best in Hoco. They’re executing all of the expected classics at a level above their corporate competitors over at mission. Brisket was juicy, sausage was plump and well seasoned, beef ribs were very good, fatty and chewy but in the way you want them to be, sides were better than average as well. Kloby's Smokehouse & Whiskey Bar offers the best barbeque in central Maryland, with perfectly smoked meats and delicious sides. The food has been consistently good, featuring great grilled wings, a creative menu, and options like 1/2 lb pulled pork, spicy Italian and chorizo sausage, Mac’n cheese, and crunchy hush puppies. The bourbon selection surpasses any liquor store, with rare options, whiskey tastings, and a very good beer selection. Service is absolutely impeccable and friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm, with Happy Hour Monday-Friday from 3PM-6PM and Saturday-Sunday from 11AM-3PM. Thirsty Thursdays and desserts are also highlights. The parking lot in front can be a nightmare, but there is another secret lot behind the row of restaurants with stairs in the middle.
