Monikay's Kitchen Reviews
Ordered a tray of Jollof rice and plantains for a social gathering. Everything was delicious!! I will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu.
absolutely love Monikay Kitchen and the staff. the food is absolutely amazing
We went there randomly a couple of Saturdays ago and had a great time! Everyone was very welcoming, they explained all the dishes and warned us about the spicy things. Use caution with the shito as it is REALLY spicy!
Just amazing flavors. Unbelievably delicious! I think they were surprised we liked it, and one of the guys from the kitchen even came out and took a video of us enjoying everything.
We'd go there more often if we lived closer, that's for sure. 5 stars...read full review

Monikay's Kitchen is a great place for delicious traditional Ghanaian and West African cuisine. The restaurant offers generous portions of flavorful dishes, such as jollof rice and chicken, fish, and goat. Customers have raved about the red red, plaintains, and suya, noting that it is hard to find such food anywhere else. The food is made to order, and the staff is polite, professional, and welcoming.
Monikay's Kitchen is a hidden gem for anyone craving bold, authentic West African flavors with a surprising Caribbean twist. The restaurant blends cultural influences beautifully—offering classic dishes like jollof rice alongside flavorful Caribbean staples such as jerk chicken. The jollof rice with jerk chicken is a standout, with the rice being rich and well-seasoned and the jerk chicken being juicy with a nice smoky kick.
While the food is definitely tasty and satisfying, the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining. That said, the quality and fusion of flavors help justify the cost—especially if you're looking for something a little different. Monikay's Kitchen brings something unique to the table with its West African-Caribbean combo, and it's worth a visit if you're in the mood for flavorful comfort food with a twist.
