“This place is seriously amazing. The menu is huge, the workers are very friendly, and the food is always ready on time. They recently added a bunch of menu items and took off a few including the General Tso burrito, but you can still get it by customizing your own burrito. Homemade chips, salsa, curly fries, queso, chicken tenders, and every burrito I have had are all excellent. Tacos are superb. They even have fried oreos, and the best ones I have ever had! Their menu has something for everybody in your family. Truly one of a kind.“

My favorite is the shrimp quesadillas, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. I understand the churros are a favorite too, though I’ve not personally tried them. “What a find! A friend and I were planning on going to another Mexican restaurant, but they were closed. We just happened to pass by this one and decided to take a chance, and we're so glad we did! The restaurant was bustling, but we had no problem finding a seat. The staff was friendly and helpful and the plates were huge, tasty and the prices were amazingly inexpensive. I personally highly recommend dining here. Beautiful and quiet patio area for you to sit. Indoor seating is just as authentic as well. All food is made from scratch, fresh daily. Table-side guacamole is an experience you must indulge in especially for you avocado lovers! Not to mention their chocolate piñata that is perfect for any occasions! “Over the past 6-months or so, I’m becoming a regular at Compadres restaurant and bar. The food has been excellent on several visits, and the staff and regulars are real nice. On this visit (Jan 2026), I was just stopping in for a quick brew before a long evening. I’ve known some of the staff here, so I knew I’d be comfortable. The bar staff remembered my usual drink, which is always a welcoming feeling. They have a full bar. And they remembered my favorite dish, which I’ve ordered here only once before! I love birria tacos, and they make a terrific recipe. It’s tender slow-cooked shredded beef with rich savory flavors too complex to know all the ingredients. The beef picks up the sweet smokiness of mild peppers, perhaps chipotle, deeply-marinated for hours with herbs that i will guess as cumin, thyme, and others, and caramelized diced onion. It’s loaded with some queso into a folded soft corn tortiila, which is soaked in the marinade, then pan or griddle-seared. Or maybe seared and then filled? Either way, it’s a deeply-colorful hand-held like a super-flavorful super-juicy quesadilla. This birria-dilla is served with a dark reddish consommé of all the flavors of the beef and the marinade, for dipping and dousing and generally risking your clothing to splashes, spills, and wild abandon. Compadres also served me freshly fried thin very-lightly-spiced tortilla chips with a zingy fresh chunky red salsa, and i realized that, without thinking, i was dipping the chips in that luscious consommé more than the salsa! I enjoy the food and the relaxed ambiance of this little place. They recently added a lovely terrifically-detailed mural by a local artist of a pueblo magico, a village of delicious food and good compadres. You know those friends who you always seem to visit at meal-time for a taste of whatever is simmering? These Compadres are those compadres.“

I walked in last weekend and had the best steak tacos I've had in the area. I was looking for a place to sit and wait, this was not it. No dine-in here, take out and delivery only, but it's so good! It's hidden behind the the police station of the long Reach Village Center.

Tonight, I used store front delivery to feed my family. It got here so fast, but I was not given an option online to tip. Hopefully, you have some cash.

The papusas are out of this world! I only wished they hadn't been delivered stacked on top of each other. It was a mushy, hot mess of heaven!

Chicken quesadillas and chicken tacos were good. But, don't be like me and wolf down the first taco before you realize the slaw was in a baggie on the side. Steak tacos were 'write home to momma' good, chicken tacos were legit, but dry without the slaw. The crunchy banana chips in the slaw were interesting and something I really appreciated.

I want to eat here every day 😋“

“FANTASTIC! I just tried a couple tacos on a whim from their truck at Taylor Ave and Loch Raven Blvd. and I'm very glad I did. I got the shrimp taco and the taco al pastor. Both were well crafted, the core proteins flavorful, the cheese, sauce and vegetables all extremely fresh, the shells hearty. The shrimp was especially fantastic, the seasoning didn't overpower its wonderful natural flavor, and the mild crumbled white cheese (queso fresco?) was a very nice compliment. The Taco al pastor was equally well made, and even more flavorful, with a unique blend of seasonings. While the seasoning wasn't my personal favorite, (slightly sweeter than I would like, though not extreme, with I think a little bit of cinnamon?) I was still happy to eat it, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new flavor. Overall 5⭐ out of 5“

“La Fondita de Ana is like a food truck, but it's a trailer. It's here in the Sunoco station all the time. It's open 6 days a week. It's closed on Sundays.The food is excellent. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla. It came with fries. The fries and the quesadilla were delicious.If you work in the area of Liberty and Old Court Rds. La Fondita de Ana is in the Sunoco station on the southeast corner. I recommend it.

Parking: It's in a Sunoco gas station. It's a trailer. Everything is takeout. You park in the gas station, order your food, and they pack it up to go.“
