“By pure accident, we came into Pepper House for lunch yesterday. This place is a hidden treasure. There’s no doubt you’re in for a real authentic Chinese food experience. They advertise it’s “street food”, so you’re not getting a fancy sit-down dinner, nor a mass-produced Panda Express combo. This is real. The flavors and ingredients are intense and fresh. The ubiquitous chili oil is house made, many-layered, and includes Szechuan pepper for the numbing you need and want. Pepper House is worthy of many repeat visits.“

“My husband brought me here for our anniversary and it was absolutely phenomenal. It’s located in gorgeous historic Ellicott City and the atmosphere is romantic and intimate. The staff were attentive and professional…but the meal itself was divine. We had a 6 course meal and every single bite was a melt in your mouth happy dance. “A Magical Night at Toby’s Dinner Theatre!
I recently took my 11-year-old daughter to see The Little Mermaid at Toby’s Dinner Theatre, and we had a wonderful time! We arrived around 5:15 PM and were first in line for seating when the doors opened at 6. The staff was organized and welcoming — we were greeted, assigned our seats, and promptly escorted to our table.

Our server (who also happened to be one of the actors!) took our drink orders within five minutes. Bread was brought out shortly after, and we were invited to help ourselves to the salad bar. Once our table number was called, we made our way to the main buffet.

While the buffet was plentiful, I felt the food quality didn’t quite match the rest of the evening’s magic. There were cheese and crackers, coleslaw, and seafood pasta salad, followed by broccoli, corn, a spaghetti pasta dish, seasoned baked chicken, ribs, and a carving station with ham, roast beef, and turkey. Unfortunately, nothing tasted particularly fresh or flavorful. I would’ve loved to see more kid-friendly options like mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, or chicken tenders — something to match the family-friendly theme of the show.

Now, the show itself? Absolutely fantastic! The acting, singing, costumes, choreography, lighting, and music all exceeded my expectations. The talent on stage was clear from the very first number to the final bow. My daughter was captivated the entire time — as was I! The show started around 8 PM and ended at 10:30 PM, and the pacing was just right.

We heard the venue is preparing for a renovation and expansion, and I’m excited to see what changes come next. Toby’s has some incredibly gifted performers, and I’d absolutely recommend the theatre experience. Just hoping the dining aspect improves to match the high-quality entertainment.“

“This was my 1st time picking up a pizza at the new location by Home Depot. I work in Eldersburg but live closer to the Mt Airy location. I grew up going to the original Ledo's in Adelphi and know the difference between a well made Ledo's pizza and a subpar one. Ledo's in Eldersburg does it right. My pizza was a perfect Ledo's pizza from presentation, to taste. I highly recommend driving a little farther to get the quality Ledo's pizza that Eldersburg is serving up. Good work!“

“The staff always treat me and my family well! Service is quick and they often provide us with yummy appetizers on the house while we wait for our entrees. They even offer to take family pictures of us. We have had an array of foods on the menu from rice options, to noodles, to sushi, etc. and they all are amazing!

They aren’t always super busy (at least for dine-in) which makes a peaceful atmosphere.

“We showed up at Oscars in Woodstock with no warning on a Sunday. There were 16 soccer players and parents. The staff handled things beautifully. The food was great. The girls had a blast in the indoor/outdoor room. I highly recommend this restaurant!!“

The portions are huge and we shared everything with four people (two kids and two hungry pre-teens). We got the Kimchi Pa Jun, dukboki (no cheese or fish cakes), Chicken Ban Ban in Korean sauce, bulgogi (comes with a bowl of rice), mandu, and the spicy sushi combination (3 rolls). I couldn’t believe how large the portions were! Everything was so flavorful and definitely reminded me of eating with my extended family when we had large get togethers. In addition to our order, we also got banchans (sides) of kimchi, potato, green beans, bean sprouts, and tofu. The server (maybe owner?) was so sweet and nice and reminded me of my aunts. The location is not right on 40 like the other restaurants in this area, but it’s not far off. The location wasn’t super busy with people (Wednesday night), but they seem to do well with takeout orders. Will definitely be back for some traditional korean food!“

Seems kinda overpriced for the “fast food” experience, but if you sign up on their website you get a free welcome burger, so first trip will be cheaper lol. Lots of burger choices and cutomize-ability. I got a double cheeseburger and a crème brûlée milkshake. In retrospect I should’ve gotten a more interesting burger, but the milkshake was delicious and had a good consistency. Bf got a veggie burger on a chard leaf wrap, which is probably the healthiest option and was very flavorful. And green bean fries, which were a fun side option.“
