“If you’re ever in Swanton, MD, make sure to stop by Archie’s BBQ! The food is great across the board, but what really blew me away was their Ghost Pepper BBQ sauce. Now, I know the name might sound intimidating, but don’t let it scare you off—it’s the perfect balance of heat and sweetness. I couldn’t get enough of it! The spice level is just right, not overwhelming but still packing a punch, and the sweetness rounds it out perfectly. Highly recommend giving it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

“I can eat two plates of the stuffed mushrooms. They were absolutely delicious. The NY strip steak was a generous size. Im glad I came and dined. The service was great, I did come off season so the dining room was quiet. Quiet enough that I could hear everything from the kitchen. Definitely coming again though! Hopefully next time I can catch their french onion soup.“

“What a great place. The food was amazing. I got crab stuffed shrimp on top of risotto. And for a appetizer I got the seated scallops with maple syrup topped with bacon. Absolutely delicious. Our waitresss was incredible. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I typically frequent a different local restaurant, but I decided to try the The Green Turtle this time. Normally, I review the menu beforehand, but I skipped that step. The crab dip and shrimp pasta were absolutely delicious , while my uncle enjoyed an avocado chicken sandwich along with a Tropic Buzz drink. This place has quickly become one of my new favorites, and I must mention that our waitress, Jen, was fantastic at suggesting dishes for us to try.“

If the local older folks stop in after church all dressed up for The Lord for the food n company. Then this wonderful diner is place to be fille with wisdom and love. “My new favorite place to eat! Whether you're at the Lake or in Oakland the food here is Worth the trip!! I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, my husband got the Smash Burger and our daughter got the Mac and Cheese, we also tried the crabby hushpuppies and fresh cut fries. Everything was soooo delicious! The service was great, the staff is so friendly and the food was hot and prepared perfectly! 🤤🤤🤤 The crab hushpuppies are a must for sure!!!“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ my boyfriend has been having some medical problems with his stomach and recently just got out of the hospital and has been unable to eat. His stepfather has been buying him your chicken noodle soup and that’s the only thing that he’s been able to keep down plus he loves it. If it wasn’t for your soup, we probably would’ve been headed back to the hospital. Dave Insley is his stepfather.“

“Casual resort/motel on a beautiful big lake. We stayed one night and played golf. The food at the restaurant was very good. Nothing fancy but hits the spot. Rooms are very plain but it's a place to sleep. Didn't hear any neighbors. Golf was a lot of fun. The course isn't too hard but has some challenges and a mix of dog legs and elevation changes. A few holes on the lake which are nice. Hole 10 is awesome. The conditions are fine, not bad, not great, but the price is right for what you get. Don't think this will be a destination for me again but it was a fun time and recommend if you're in the area.

“Stopped in for brunch on Sunday morning. Service was excellent, we were seated and served quickly even though it was packed. We got pancakes and two burgers, the patties were really well seasoned and the fries were super crispy. Everything was delicious, I'd definitely recommend!!“
