“If you’re ever in Swanton, MD, make sure to stop by Archie’s BBQ! The food is great across the board, but what really blew me away was their Ghost Pepper BBQ sauce. Now, I know the name might sound intimidating, but don’t let it scare you off—it’s the perfect balance of heat and sweetness. I couldn’t get enough of it! The spice level is just right, not overwhelming but still packing a punch, and the sweetness rounds it out perfectly. Highly recommend giving it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. They really go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of. All around, a fantastic spot!“

“If you're a person who likes quality dining, and a good steak, please stop here! I had the Queen Prime Rib. It was cooked to perfection. Cooked in butter, served with butter on top of it, it basically melts in your mouth. The bread they serve with it is awesome. The atmosphere is high quality along with the service. You feel like a king and queen eating here. I'm very picky with steaks and they nailed it.

The scenery is top notch with high craftsmanship in the structure. You have a nice view of the lake while dining.

Don't skip out on this dining experience. Come with an empty belly, cause you're leaving with it full with the high quality food you'll be eating. Cheers!“

“My husband and I are locals and frequent Dutch’s At Silver Tree often. We have traveled many places near and far and always say Dutch’s has the best seafood ever. We have never had a bad meal. Food is always hot, fresh, and delicious every time. It is on the pricy side but totally worth every penny. Their creative appetizer nights and Wednesday specials make it affordable for those not wanting to spend the extra money. We do miss their seafood buffet Fridays. That was always our favorite. Wish that would come back. You can’t visit Deep Creek without dining at Dutch’s at Silver Tree 🥰“

“Great food and atmosphere“

“Casual resort/motel on a beautiful big lake. We stayed one night and played golf. The food at the restaurant was very good. Nothing fancy but hits the spot. Rooms are very plain but it's a place to sleep. Didn't hear any neighbors. Golf was a lot of fun. The course isn't too hard but has some challenges and a mix of dog legs and elevation changes. A few holes on the lake which are nice. Hole 10 is awesome. The conditions are fine, not bad, not great, but the price is right for what you get. Don't think this will be a destination for me again but it was a fun time and recommend if you're in the area.

Food and drinks: Restaurant was good. Get the alpine fries!“
