“I am from Baltimore and while working in Germantown I wanted something to eat other than fast food. I went into Paisano's around 530pm and was greeted so nicely by a young woman. I did not want a sub because Montgomery Co normally you get a steak um and that is what I am used too. I ordered the chicken Parmigian with pasta. Wow the sauce was amazing, pasta was perfect, the breaded chicken was covered in cheese. The garlic bread was so good. Great price, large portion that I could not finish. I told the girl behind counter that the food was awesome and it made this fatboy happy. I am 6'4 & 280lbs and I wanted to hug everyone but I did not want to scare anyone. Thank you!“

The garlic spaghetti was perfectly seasoned, and the grilled chicken was tender and cooked just right.

The Italian cold cut was top quality and the toppings, on the absolute freshest bread, were just right.

“This restaurant has become a family favorite! My husband and I regularly come for date nights, but we also love to bring the whole family. The rockfish dish is my regular order, but the veal scallopini, mussels, and the chicken piccata are other family favorites. They are all delicious and we have yet to order a dish here that isn’t perfect. We have also hired them for catering and they did an excellent job. “I'm a regular at Angelo's almost every Tuesday during the fall middle school and spring high school softball seasons. I stop there between the game I umpire and teaching religious education around the corner at St. Patrick's. I will say that the quality at Angelo's is outstanding. I usually do a combination cheeseburger sub or steak and cheese. They are excellent. Plus, the fries are real fries that come out of the deep frier nice and crispy. I often will treat my religious education class to pizzas from Angelo's and they always tell me it's good pizza. Finally, they have Little Gina's pizzels. They're an Italian cookie my Italian mom would make and they are exactly like she would cook them. So, if you want some great pizza or sub plus some really crispy fries, I highly recommend Angelo's. Maybe I'll see you there some Tuesday!“

But the star of the meal was the Italian meatball appetizer, which could be a meal to itself. Let me say that my mother’s side is Southern Italian from outside of Naples, and was part of the immigrant generation 100 years ago that invented spaghetti and meatballs. I have never had a restaurant meatball that compares to our family recipe. Until now. This comes very close. Big meatballs, full of flavors, made with care, excellent sauce. I was so pleased. The decor is bright, the owners are friendly, the vibe is a warm neighborhood spot. It is a short walk from the Shady Grove Metro Station, on the other side of 355 from King Farm. This neighborhood has needed a place like this for a long time. Great meal, nice experience.“

There are two Ledo’s in my hometown and while dough, sauce and cheese is always a winning combo, the taste at these two Ledo’s is consistently inconsistent. I overheard that the Damascus Ledo’s is the best one and taste just like the original in College Park. Hands-down, I gotta say it does. It was worth the 20 minute drive. I will now only be ordering from this one when I get a hankering for pizza. Thank you to the Damascus Ledo’s restaurant for preserving such a singular taste! Can’t wait to return!!“

“I have been eating Ledo Pizza once a week for close to 60 years. Today none of the Ledo Pizza restaurants make the pizza crust as the original... this location comes the closest! The original Ledo Pizza had thicker flaky crust/dough almost croissant like. Most franchises have a thin crust. I always get a consistent pizza from this location. I don't live close to this location but discovered it on my commute home from work. I have probably 6 plus Ledo restaurants closer to my home but will drive out of my way to pick up a pizza. The staff is great...extremely friendly and accommodating!“
