“I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life, making and serving food (including burgers and fries). I just stopped by Joia last night, for the first time. I ordered a double patty. I have to say that it might have been the best burger I’ve ever tried. Nothing too fancy, just the perfect size and balance of ingredients. I didn’t intend to get any fries, but after ordering my burger, I asked the employee who was serving me if I could try one. It was so good, that I instantly asked to order some, only to find out that they had gone ahead and generously thrown in a batch on the house for me. I literally have never written a review in my life (google, yelp, otherwise) but I was so into it I thought I should share. Super friendly, low key atmosphere, fast, and delicious. I highly recommend it and I’ll be going back there. Thanks Joia.“

“Nick’s Pizza is the answer to authentic homemade pizza when you can’t make your own! It’s the freshest ingredients and the perfect crust - not too thick or thin. I highly recommend giving this locally owned pizza a try - you will NOT be disappointed!!!! I also have to mention that Nick is an awesome guy!“

“About a mile from the convention center walking, didn’t realize it was inside the WF. There’s seating available going up a few stairs after ordering/picking up. Ordered a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries - they were good but I may have over done it today. I got crazy and got BBQ sauce, tasty with a tad of spice. I enjoyed my meal and service was friendly. I’d maybe come back but not a fan of it being inside of WF.“

“ Big Buns in Arlington, VA is where it's at! The place has this cool vibe going on – you walk in, and you just know you're in for a good time. The food? Man, they've got all kinds of stuff on the menu. Burgers that'll make your mouth water, and they even have this insane Unicorn shake for dessert – it's like something out of a dream. And don't even get me started on the drinks. They've got some seriously killer cocktails that'll knock your socks off. Oh, and did I mention the location? It's smack dab in the middle of Arlington, so it's super easy to get to. And the service? A+. The staff is friendly, and fast. So yeah, if you're in the mood for some good eats and a chill vibe, you gotta hit up Big Buns. Trust me, you won't regret it“

“Visiting DC from the UK. We all really liked the burger, agree with other comments it is a greasy affair but then again nobody’s coming here to prepare for a bikini competition. I respect the menu concept, do one thing, do it well. No options. I guess if you don’t want coke or water you don’t need to buy one. Servers were excellent and price wise, you aren’t getting much better for this area. My only issue was the space, it’s quite stark and basic. I think you can go ultra basic on the menu, but such a basic setting might be a step too far and it doesn’t need to be, because they have a great crew that could hold down a more personal atmosphere.“

“My apologies for the late review!!! I had a great experience at Checkers a couple weeks ago thanks to one of the employees who really went above and beyond. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything in my order was right. You can tell she actually cares about the customers, which made the visit a lot better.The food was also on point. The fries were fresh and tasted like they were cooked in clean oil — which makes a huge difference because sometimes they can taste old or mixed with other fryer items. “Honestly, I needed a crown for a costume so I went in here and took one. Then I left. Operation took maybe 8 seconds inside the restaurant. Happy to say it worked and that I was not told I couldn’t have a crown. I’ll be back one day Burger King, and I’ll have to give your store justice with another full review, but for now, it’s just the crown, which is it’s great cardboard quality that I’ve been used to since being a little boy.“

Had the crab dip appetizer, and they gave us so little bread to dip into it, we all ended up eating the dip as a soup of sorts with our forks so that we didn't waste it, even though it was tremendously SALTY. Like salt was almost the predominant flavor. I had the steak frites, and the supplied knife wasn't quite up to the task of cutting the meat, but it was very tasty along with a very garlicky herb butter. Wife got the chopped steak, and it was a lovely dish, piled high with all sorts of lovely gravy and mushrooms and too much to eat, but very . . . wait for it . . . SALTY. Daughter had the chicken pot pie. Loaded with chicken. Decent meal. Our server was tremendous and polite and one of the highlights of the evening. Kitchen staff may want to taste-test some things before sending them out the door. They might be surprised. We've been on vacation all week and eating out every night, and this was the saltiest meal of the week. We felt like we were still retaining water the next morning.“

“Their burgers are delicious, the meat tasted so fresh I forgot I was eating in public. I got the sandwich with mushrooms, I like mushrooms but it has to be cooked a certain way and they nailed it. You can barely taste them and blend in perfectly with everything else. They have a special sauce that tastes like homemade BigMac sauce that I’ve only had here and goes great with the meal. Their fries tasted like they were right out the fryer and perfectly seasoned, overall a great experience but it’s the type of food you have to eat instantly or it’ll get soggy on the way home. Their sodas are a hit or miss, they can taste watered down but they have some of the best shakes I’ve had.“
