“It was ok, food was what to be expected from a fast food place, and we went for the Dc toys— and they gave us a free one when we were searching for a specific toy, which was really nice, though we felt bad about bothering them. Overall, floor was sticky, seats were ok, and the food was warm, no complaints.“

“It's happening to many times for me to not post this but how is it they make u pay extra on each burger to add Mac sauce like 35¢ or more but yet they only put like a drop of sauce on it and the cheese is cracked up & looking all stale ??? “Overall food was decent. Fries with chili and cheese were above average and milkshakes were excellent. Where it failed was the burgers. Probably one of the most average hamburgers I have ever had and I find it comparable to McDonald's. I didn't have it I was told their half smoke was delightful.I am giving it a 3 as it is apparently well-known but was fairly average in my perspective.I'm updating this to 4 stars because after our meal 90 year old owner, Virginia, took time to talk to us and tell us all about her and the restaurants history that is rich and pivotal in the black community of the area. Amazing conversation with her and if you can you should visit with her!“

“Food was amazing! Came to visit from Chicago. Had the bacon and cheddar burger. Hubby had the afterburner burger, spicy but delish! Appetizers (Korean wings and onion rings) on point! Did not disappoint at all. Highly recommend. Similar to a pub so not kid friendly (when we went 11pm).“
“As someone with dairy and egg allergies, I was extremely grateful for the many vegan options on the menu. We came our first night in DC and had the delicious vegan nachos and vegan BBQ “chicken” bites and I was beyond impressed. We had such a great experience that we came back again…. And again while we were in DC. Everyone in my family (vegan and not) raved about their food and our service was phenomenal. Add in the great bookstore attached that the kids and us enjoyed while waiting for food and this place is a must go. If you’re a beer lover, try the Busboys Haze and you won’t be disappointed.“

“The best burger and fries I've gotten since moving to MD. Definitely will be back. The I went there was only one employee working but he did an amazing job. I had to wait a bit to get my order taken but the food was brought out to the table rather quickly. Both the burger and fries were extremely fresh. The produce was fresh, lettuce was crisp, tomatoes were ripe and had good flavor, and the grilled onions were a nice touch. I will definitely be back.“
