“My first time trying Afghan food and it did not disappoint. My favorite item of the night were the pumpkin dumplings. We had lamb with cilantro and lamb with okra. Everything on the menu you could tell was made fresh and will great ingredients. The lamb was tender and flavorful. We also finished dinner with cardamom ice cream which was absolutely delicious. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful, definitely on the nicer side as far as dress goes. Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: Per their website all menu items are halalParking: Located beneath the restaurant“
“We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Royal Tandoor and had a wonderful experience. The food was definitely the best Indian food we have had in the Gaithersburg area, the service was excellent and the atmosphere very pleasant. We’ll be back for sure!“
“What an incredible collection of brown- 65+ pages of incredible whiskeys, bourbons and more. Multiple bottles of pappy if you're into that. I had a blast selecting (at random, but nothing disappointed!) and my friend got the flight to help guide him, which he loved.Food was fine, acceptable, but for the cool environment I would have figured higher grade in the cuisine. Admittedly the snacks/small plates were far higher quality than the main dishes so maybe the intention was to drink and small plate.Service was good, they made sure we had what we needed but I would have loved a bit more enthusiasm for such an amazing collection.Overall great experience and would go again!“
“The Fountain Inn is beautifully designed, cocktail lounge, whiskey and craft drinks bar in the upper Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC. We came in a group of four and really enjoyed the unique setting, classic decor, their absolute dedication to the bar craft, amazing selection of unusual whiskey and gin, innovative drinks and very knowledgeable service. The Fountain Inn felt perfect for a late night drink, or a before dinner hop-in. The Fountain Inn is a very small and beautiful place with a speakeasy vibe, you definitely need a reservation here. It could get loud due to it's small size.Service was very helpful and steered each of us toward perfect drink and booze choices! The Fountain Inn is absolutely perfect for trying something new, exploring new brands or flavors of your favorite liquor. “Rented out the venue for a birthday party. Fantastic event planner, delicious food, SPECTACULAR drinks and whiskey list, and world class bartenders. Cannot say enough good things!! Already searching for an excuse to do another event with them. All the atmosphere and bartending resources of Jack Rose, with a speakeasy/Gatsby-esque atmosphere and top notch service. Planning was totally hassle free. Execution was flawless. Thank you so much!“
“Black Whiskey is an incredible whiskey bar for both enthusiasts and newcomers. Anthony, the bar manager, is kind and well-informed about whiskey. For whiskey hobbyists, you are not going to find a better deal on whiskey. All pours are min 2 oz (plus a tad extra). The prices are rare whiskey are highly competitive. BTAC pours at $50. New releases everywhere at reasonable prices. This is the perfect place to try before you buy, or just to try bottles that you may never have the chance to buy at MSRP.“
“I like that the menu rotates, this keeps things fun and fresh. The venue itself is pretty small, but cozy. The restaurant has a high class atmosphere with big plates, small serving sizes, and artful topping displays. The drinks took a while to come out, but the food arrived quickly, especially given the size of our party. I enjoyed the Cosmo and Wanda cocktail. The thyme syrup is a unique addition. My scallops and halibut were both cooked perfectly! They did a better job than many seafood restaurants in this respect. The sunchoke basil puree was delicious on the scallops, they were some of the best that I've ever had. But the fish needed to be seasoned, it was too bland. I saw other reviews mentioning delicious bread. We were not offered any, but this would have helped add to the meal. Bread or more substantial sides (instead of the toppings) are definitely needed, since the portions are on the smaller side. The carrot cake was pretty sweet, but a good way to end the meal. I loved the citrus crumble and the frosting. Next time I want to try one of the more exotic menu items.“
“While exploring the area, I decided to satisfy my craving for sushi and discovered Kusshi, a restaurant highly praised for its quality.Despite Pike & Rose being renowned for upscale dining experiences, I was surprised when I stepped into Kusshi and found it cramped and crowded, with an unconventional layout inside. The contrast between the inviting exterior and the somewhat chaotic interior was unexpected, reminding me not to judge a restaurant solely by its appearance. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the efficient and speedy service.Although my sushi was slightly flattened by the time I reached home, it still delivered on taste, and my dining experience was enjoyable overall.Parking: With where the restaurant is nestled you’ll have to pay for parking.“
