“Old Blue catered my daughters wedding. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. Old Blue has the best BBQ food in the greater DC area - so, that would be enough to recommend them - however, if you are planning an event, you will not believe the quality of the service they offer. Everyone was helpful, had great suggestions, they even shared decorations with us. The day of the wedding was also perfect - they were attentive and seemed to anticipate every need. Again, they would be worth it just for the food, but they perfect because of everything else.“

First, the crab cake sandwich was huge and meaty. It was very good and I’d go back off that alone. Everything else was very good as well. The sweet potatoes pie egg rolls were amazing and I don’t even generally like sweet potatoes, but it sounded so good and it didn’t disappoint. I also met Derrick and Shae while I was there and they were very kind. I’ll be back! I wish I had photos, but I ate the food too fast.“

To start they brought some hummus topped with shredded beef and beat spread, which the former was my favorite. They later brought the roasted chicken which had been marinated for 48 hours plus. “We love Washington DC so my wife and I wanted some pizza. We were staying at the Embassy suites in NW so I googled pizza that was close by. Pizzoli‘s pizzeria came up. It looked good so we took an Uber there and the pizza was excellent. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and my wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. Made from scratch good. We were a little bit surprised in that it was a smaller establishment as we thought we were going to a place that had lots of tables, etc. This place has one inside table and five or six countertops to eat at and then they have several tables outside but as noted, the food was fantastic. Would certainly recommended, and we will be back home future visits.“

The owner, Jennifer Paul, worked personally with me over a month to ensure that every delicacy requested by the guest of honor would make it to the buffet table. She even prepared and delivered an “sampling dinner” so we knew what flavors to expect.
