Since relocating from NYC, I wasn't able to find any Sweet Potatoe Pies in the DMV that could measure up to the Pies I would purchase from Whimpies, a family owned bakery in Harlem (nolonger in business).
That is, until I stumbled upon "Uncle Paul's Pies" two years ago.
Can I say "Scrumptious". Definitely a customer for life....

I would like to start by saying that today is my birthday.??? Yesterday, I reached out to Uncle Paul's Pies because they have the same name as one of my favorite uncles that passed a few years back, and I called him UP. I called in to ask about an order that would be the highlight of my day!

Well, let me say the sweet potato pie prepared for me by Uncle Paul's Pies was simply on point. The professionalism was superb as well. There was a little confusion about the exact location where I was going to pick up my order. It wasn't a big deal to me. However, Unc addressed it and threw in some sweet potato pie cup cakes that didn't last long once they were in my hands. I am very impressed and will be a repeat customer.
