“Nice restaurant w/ good food if you’re looking for a quick meal. The only reason i didn’t rate the food 5 stars is due to those tasteless rolls they give you. I guess because they are complimentary however, they should still taste good without the brown sugar butter they come with. I believe they need a better flavored dough… and it’s dry. Otherwise, i really like this place! The nachos, wings & margaritas are top tier ??“
“Great time with my work family! Took our last minute reservations to accommodate a party of 8. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere and so much to do! It's an adult game center! So many pool tables! Food was good and the portion was bigger than I expected. I will be back again!“
“The Bowman is as flexible as a restaurant can really get! Seems to me there's a new chef whom I'd advise they treat VERY WELL, because the menu has taken a quantum leap into awesomeness. There are plenty of American food items, but someone in the back of the house has Italian roots and incredible culinary acumen! (Aurancini?! REALLY?! Oh, my. That was a joy!) The atmosphere is varied. The bar area has high-tops and lots of TV's; the dining area (white tablecloth) may be a bit affected by the bar area unless in the back room. But nice, open feeling as dining area is an atrium. There's a ballroom, I think, as well as an outdoor enclosed area where happy hours feature live music. I do believe Magooby's Joke House still uses the 'below decks' banquet room & they get great acts. So glad Bowman made it through C19... Hamilton/Parkville & surrounding area staple restaurant. Enjoy! Consistently great.Parking: Both sides of the building have ample parking. If you enter on the Northside, I think you have to walk in the sidewalk to the south front of the building to get inside, but not sure. I don't quite know where the handicapped spots are, actually. I took my service dog. No problems.Wheelchair accessibility: Park on the south side of the building to enter the restaurant through the bar. I'm not sure where the handicapped spots are. Park on the Northside to go out on the covered outdoor deck.“
“Family friendly, service is usually quick and always pleasant. I'm a basic NYC slice kind of gal but my kids like the pizza and the sandwiches are tasty. I recommend asking for dressing on the side for salads and reading through the full description to ensure no topping surprises (like tomatoes and mushrooms on the Buffalo Chicken pizza). We seem to always show up on trivia night so the skeeball is not an option, but we'll make it happen eventually! Great place to meet friends for a bite or drink and and I'm always willing to support local places that support their neighbors and community, so we'll be back.“
“This is one of the top bars/foodie in Locust Point/South Baltimore Fort Avenue.Food is priced pre-pandemic when compared to competition.Portions are generous and well presented by courteous, friendly, visible, and attentive helpful staff. It does not smell like an old smoky bar and it is clean! Appetizers were huge with novel seasonings.Very friendly place to enjoy a holiday with family and friends. Plus, a Baltimore first has lots of nearby free safe parking!“
“Great spot for a late lunch, after pressing the doorbell for entry (very quick) I came for the soup and really enjoyed their open face Reuben sandwich that was on special! Low carb with only one slice of toast that had a generous amount of corned beef served piping hot with Swiss perfectly melted over the kraut and dressing, absolutely delicious. Service was fabulous, server provided a good knife to manage the sandwich (yes, I used a fork!) and ate every delicious bite. Friendly attentive staff, while the place is a generally a bar/neighborhood place, the food is great. Cream of crab soup was thick with crab piled on top, which I stirred in, a hearty offering. The place was great for lunch, and it's not hard to picture it bustling on game night,“
“Great place, positive atmosphere, nice employees and not too busy on this particular night where as the bowling alley booked… only thing was there seemed to be only one person able to serve us but I’m not sure… also I wish there were more nonalcoholic drink options.Vegetarian options: Fried cauliflower was tasty, a little too spicy for me but a great dish over all.“
“This is a neighborhood bar and you will definitely feel welcomed. The drinks are good and custom made based on what you like. I cannot have sweet drinks so a drink was made specifically for me. I will definitely be back... Oh the crabs were on point as well!“
“I’ll start this review off by saying I have never smiled a day in my life and I am NOT easily impressed. This changed the second I walked into section 771. The double orange crush was just what I needed to thaw the ice around my cold heart. I cried of happiness when I bit into the fresh juicy honey old bay wings, paired with the best ranch I’ve ever had. The bar staff is top notch, I’ve never seen so many good looking people all work for the same establishment! Coming here cured my depression and I haven’t stopped smiling since.“
“this place is great. so chill. great bartenders who will get you whatever you ask for. came here from out of town and couldn't have asked for a better place to watch our game and have a good conversation. will definitely return if we are back in baltimore!“
“First of ALL!!! If you been to the old DDL this upgrade is EVERYTHING! The atmosphere, the attitude of the staff, drinks food & crabs is 10s across the board. Let’s not even start on the dj? idk if he’s always there but Sunday he vibes! Definitely our new spot!“
“Stopped for a random late Sunday lunch when out shopping. Pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Food was exceptional, good burger (oddly hard to find in Bmore), perfectly crispy wings, and fries and tater tots were also perfect. Atmosphere was obvious local hang out and music was eclectic (if a little loud for my inner old person). All and all an excellent lunch and I'm sure if we lived a little closer we'd be regulars.“
“4 hours before every Ravens home game, this place opens to the public for thw TAILGATE. They serve $3 beers, $5 shots, $7 crushes, pit beef/ham/turkey, hot dogs, sausages, crab soup, chili AND have a FULL SERVICE BAR inside the Firefighter's Union Hall that is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Plus, they stay open during the game to watch on the TV's. All tips, profits, and any other benefits are for the Widows and Orphans fund. This is a place to walk to for tailgating or to watch the game only. There is no parking.Parking: During the game, park somewhere else and WALK here. It is across the street from M&T stadium, and there is no dedicated lot.“
“Amazing dive bar with the best people, vibes, prices, solid drink selection, and good food. A true charm of Charm City. Great for watching the game and not breaking the bank. Love the exposed brick, spaciousness, and signs/stickers all over the walls too. No complaints!! You’re missing out if you haven’t come here yet.“
“Great experience! We had a surprise birthday party for my wife at the Cockeysville location, the Parkville location is closer to us but unfortunately could not accommodate our party. The service was outstanding and well organized, considering there was about 20 of us, and the food was fantastic. The seafood is a little pricey but well worth it considering the portions, I brought 1/2 my Chicken Chesapeake home and was not the only one who couldn't finish and left with a bag. Great time.“
“Food and ambiance more than you would expect. Good portions of Very TASTY food. Nadi, our waitress, is so courteous and nice. Great communication skills and professional. She knew how to answer all our questions on the menu and gave us great suggestions!!!Definitely we will back soon!“
“This was my first time here, I loved the sports vibe off of entrance. Anna was my bartender and she was just the sweetest. I ordered the mild wings crispy with the cherry blossom ale. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. Cooked to perfection. Perfect location 10 outta 10 . Thank you!!“
“We went to Barracuda's for lunch following a visit to Ft. McHenry. My wife had the corn and crab fritter and I had a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. The fritters were fresh tasting, plenty of crab meat and slightly spicy. It was nicely fried and not greasy. The pulled pork was a bit sweet but not overpowering. Very tasty. The coleslaw was fresh and the chips were fried but not greasy at all. Limitless iced tea. The service was great and friendly. Clearly a neighborhood favoriteParking: Parked in a lot across the street that had a reserved sign but the server said that it was fine to park there“
“The food and service is awesome! I assumed a sports bar would serve greasy junk, but I was wrong. They have a great menu. Their wings are the best that I’ve had in Baltimore City.Dietary restrictions: Pretty good for Keto, but probably not the best for vegetarians and vegans.“
“Came here to kill time in between an event at another location ( nothing to do with the establishment)... had great service , even better food and everyone ( including customers were awesome).... didn't know about this place , but will definitely be back in the near future... I highly recommend checking it out for yourself.... they gained a couple customers for life....“
“Smaltimore is a great neighborhood bar. My only complaint is the wings have gone downhill over the past year. They advertise that they have Delia Foleys wings (which are the best in town) but the past few times I’ve had them they were very dry. Almost as if they’ve been reheated. Bummed out on the wings, but otherwise good experiences at smaltimore.“
“This is my neighborhood bar. The owner is really friendly and personable. It’s relatively new and he is making a lot of improvements. I see a lot of my friends from the neighborhood here and he has games and a large selection of alcohol even tho there’s no liquor. Once they have food it’ll be a go to spot for me. Less busy than some of the other bars down the street, especially on game days. Highly recommend. Right down the street from the Babe Ruth museum!“
“Great spot for entertainment. Almost every weekend, you can find live bands playing in the outdoor tiki bar area or the occasional appearance of the locals' favorite, Dj Rampage, at the indoor bar. No matter how crowded you can expect good service.“
“It a great place to eat drink and be merry if your over 40 you should try it it's kinda a older person's Bar they also have a dance floor and have great musicWheelchair accessibility: Has access for wheelchair alot of parking. Not sure about kids maybe daytime definitely not night time“
“My husband and I had dinner at this wonderful pizzeria today and let me tell you it was brilliant! We were greeted so warmly by the staff and the atmosphere is modern but still cozy. Among a ton of choices for food they had personal pan pizzas of the specialty pizzas, which I loved! I got the bacon chicken ranch one and my husband got the calzone. Both were super yummy and not overly greasy or oily. And they had such wonderful desserts to choose from! I had the chocolate baklava and it was so rich and filling! The whole meal was 10/10 and I would totally recommend this place. ?“
“great local gem! cash only, cheap food and drinks. There's 5 coin operated tables, the 3 to the left are usually where the real shooter play but everyone is welcome. Sunday and Monday nights are league nights so pay attention to which tables are being used. This place has alot of love and character. Rarely is there ever an issue, argument or fight. The bartenders pour heavy and the juke box runs an eclectic playlist from old soul, to trap, to alternative rock, reflective of the diverse crowd that come there. They use to have a koi pond out back but ppl kept falling in lol. All good. Still a great place to go. See yall Saturday for the 9 ball tournament! starts at 730“
“Best sweet potato fries I've ever had. I've never ate something here I didn't like. No pool tables or darts but they do have poker machines. Live music and DJ nights. Attached liquor store and hot pitbeef outside. Plenty of parking. Mature crowd, I've never witnessed rifraf at this bar. We always return.“
“I've been going to BTI since I moved to Maryland in 2000. First as a young adult with my parents and now my husband and I continue the tradition. We've seen a lot of changes over the years with the decor and menu items, all lovely additions, but one thing that's remained the same are the great full crabs and the BEST seasoning in town! We always keep BTI's seasoning on hand at home for the times we steam our own. This is THE place for fresh steamed crabs, and of course the amazing, tasty in-house seasoning! The staff is always friendly and attentive! You must go!!“
“Went here for my niece’s 21st bday. It was newly opened (August 2022) and we had a blast. The owner was nice, charismatic, and just all around friendly. Some of our group played pool while some of us took shots and sang along to our fav songs. Great local spot to just unwind and feel at home.“
“I went with a friend for a Sunday lunch this past weekend, and we sat at the bar upstairs with Alex. The bar itself is beautiful - a really elevated, trend-forward place that still feels comfortable. Great spot to hang and catch a few games (PLENTY of TVs) or spend a few hours at. Alex was also phenomenal - so welcoming and the drinks (both cocktail & mocktail) were great! Can't wait to be back!“
“This review is long overdue, went to Baltimore for the Ravens-Steelers game last year (we lost smh) but the trip was amazing and Baltimore is beautiful. My friend and I stopped here and I got the mushroom cheesesteak which was so dang good that i think about it everyday. We went early in the afternoon on a Monday so we were about the only people there, but the service nonetheless was amazing. Had my first Natty Bo here and I’m looking so forward to coming back here next time I come to Baltimore ? BIG TRUZZ ?“
“When Slim was alive and the front and back of the bar were connected, you could eat fried chicken cooked in black cast iron skillets; listen to Slim talk about gambling back in the day, and dance the night away.Alot has changed but what remains are good people enjoying Ravens Football, pulsating rythems, and beverage.A great example of the Baltimore neiborhood bar.“
“Honey's has undergone new management and honestly, I enjoy coming here. The food is amazing. I highly recommend the Crispy Mongolian Beef ($15.95). They have beer bucket specials as well and there kitchen stays open til 11 pm. They have a packaged good stores if you want to buy beer or liquor at the side, as well as 3 pool tables ($1-$1.50/rack).“
“Best wings in the city! I generally get take out, and that experience can be a tad frustrating. You can’t order online and I’ve never been successful calling ahead because they don’t answer the phone. But when I get in there, the staff is friendly and they get you out quick. The wings are good enough to keep me coming back.“
“Visited from Washington State and still can't get over the pickles in this place. The food and service was fantastic, fast, and friendly with a great atmosphere. Best pickles I have ever tasted, love building my own burger highly recommend!“
“Tasty pizza, served quickly even on a create your own. TVs at most tables provide distraction if you need it.Parking: It's downtown Baltimore, you'll need to find a garage. We used one about 2 blocks away, nice easy walk to the shop.Kid-friendliness: Great place to bring kids.“
“Magerks is the place to go, no matter the occasion! Go before a Ravens game for a cheese steak and drinks specials or stay to watch the game and make new friends, attend trivia on Monday nights, or bring your friends for a turnt up weekend! Great staff and incredible management, delicious and budget friendly food, and an atmosphere for the whole family (kids to great grandparents welcome). Definitely stop by if you're in Federal Hill for a memorable experience!Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome!“
“I recommend going here if you're looking to hang with friends/family during game days. I went here with my boyfriend to watch a Ravens game. I recommend getting to the bar early to get a spot prior to the viewing of the upcoming sporting event as we figured there weren't going to be many seats available. The food was decent, the service was okay, a little slow when busy. But that's to be expected on football days. The Greene Turtle sometimes has deals on game days (The Turtle Touchdown: If you buy an app for $25., you get unlimited 50¢ beers) that's worth it if you're looking to down a few.“
“Great time, standing room only due to Ravens NFC game! Owner acknowledged that I had been standing a while and offered his seat to me. Super impressed, way to go for super attention to detail during an extremely busy time. In addition, all young ladies on staff were sweet, communicative and handled a large rowdy crowd with ease. Will be back!“
“A typical bar, nothing worth raving about. They have a good selection of beer that they keep updating. The food is okay, not something I'd go back for.The drinks are inexpensive and the servers are friendly. But the bar gets crowded, and overwhelms the bar tenders so it can take a bit to get your drink at times. On a positive, they have events on many nights of the week - trivia on Tuesdays, live music on Fridays/ Saturdays etc.Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian options, but its limited.“
“Mothers north went out of their way to accommodate our basketball team and family. Our waitress was phenomenal the manager the hostess. Everyone made sure we had what we needed highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: Very sweet and accommodating to children and a fun clam machine!“
“Don't come expecting a lot. It's like a neighborhood bar. The regular price on the menu is a little pricey. However, they had a happy hour (not listed anywhere) that was reasonable. I had the catfish sandwich with fries and wings (drummets) with fries ($10.00 each). The food was good and along with a decent drink (Tequila Sunrise).“
“Good food! I wanted to go because I saw the photos of the outside and it looked so cute! But it was too cold to sit out so we ate inside. It was just a regular Baltimore style bar inside but it was nice. We were having dinner with out toddler and didn’t feel out of place or like it wasn’t a good environment. Music was fun! They have pool, darts, video games etc.We got crab cakes, coconut shrimp, fries, old bay wings, and ahi tuna tacos. I loved the crab cakes and fries! The wings were big, crispy and well seasoned. The tacos were my partners and he loved them! The service was fast and kind! Will def be coming back in the summer when we can sit outside!“
“Came here for Valentin’s day with my husband and it was a nice environment. Our waitress Amena was on point with everything. We actually asked her was she a mind reader lol. I will be returning again. The food was hot, delicious and fresh Thank you for “
“Very friendly welcoming from bartender, Rochelle. We glanced at the menu before arriving. There is a TOGO that is separate from the Turp’s bar/dining. Excellent food. I can see why this place has positive reviews. It feels like a neighborhood spot and a travelers’ spot. Wings were wonderful. The sweet potato tots were delicious. Signature Viccino, pretty solid. Thank you for the great food and hospitality, Turp’s! Until next trip.“
“Pretty awesome bar and restaurant. I got the Torta Cubana and the girlfriend got the fish quesadillas. Their kitchen staff did an outstanding job; the food was incredible. The margarita was tasty and mixed generously. Parking was tough, but that's Baltimore.“
“It's always a great place to go to get a wonderful crab cake and the captain does a great job of shucking oysters in the bar the oysters last night were exceptional always a good beer selection and good games on the TV s the service is always attentive what more can you ask “
