“We came to the Ruddy Duck while in town visiting family so we could have a belated anniversary date.. We had a most incredible experience...our server David was attentive and pleasant without being over bearing...his menu recommendations were on point! The crab dip is stellar...my husband and I got what was on special...he got the crab cake burger with duck fat fries and I got the steak frites...everything was cooked perfectly! The duck fat fries beat out the well known ones from our current home town, and the steak was melt in your mouth...the mushroom peppercorn sauce was to DIE for... I was so thrilled that Chef agreed to sell me a small container of just the sauce to take home. My husband is going to regret that he brought me, because now we are going to have to go back every time we come back to visit family...10 stars out of 5! ❤️”

“My husband is Guatemalan and since moving to southern Maryland he has yet to find ANY traditional food. Especially tostadas, if you’ve never had, I highly recommend trying. This food was PHENOMENAL! Highly recommend, will repeatedly go here. ♥️”

“1.5 HOUR DINING LIMIT!!!! Chief's will always be one of our favorites! The food is terrific 100% of the time, year after year. The staff work really hard to make us feel welcome and attend to all food/beverage needs. My one criticism (and everyone I've spoken to feels the same) is the 1.5 hour limit for dining. We don't go out for a leisurely dinner often, so when we do, we like to order appetizers, main courses, desserts and plenty of drinks. When you find yourselves a minute into dessert and a fresh round of drinks, and it's time to pay the $250-$300 check and leave b/c the 1.5 hour limit is up, it's a total bummer! This time, we actually had to pick up our desserts & drinks and find room [for only some of our party] at the bar, so we could finish. If you are going to have a time limit, put a timer on the table. At least that way, when your time is almost up, you can forget about ordering the desserts and last round of drinks. It was too embarrassing to rush to carry the rest of our meal to the bar, just so we could finish what we paid for.”

“We could not have asked for a better wedding venue than Jubilee. From the start, the owners Jim and Maggie were kind, hospitable, knowledgeable, and most importantly for us when choosing them for our wedding: communicative. Jim was readily available to answer any question and enthusiastically allowed us multiple visits to the farm as we planned, and Maggie (as well as the bar team) were great in listening to our ideas and helping us make our signature cocktails into a reality.

Jubilee as a property is private and absolutely beautiful. The ceremony spot on the water is picturesque, and the new renovations to their reception barn really elevate the space. With three separate locations on property for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception - plus two lovely buildings for the bride and groom to get ready, Jubilee truly has everything you need. Highly recommend.”

“I went on a quiet Sunday afternoon. I was greeted kindly, and also impressed by the fresh food being brought in from the garden witnessed while driving in. The food : superb, the environment : relaxing. Afterward, I spent time outside with some recommended activity, a sunny day - gentle breezes and a sparkling view. “I haven’t written a food review in like 5 years but this guys spot deserves one. For a tiny little food truck on the side road, I was not expecting this caliber of a meal. Fried rockfish bites, fried butterflied shrimp, and a bangin JO butter dipping seasoning all for a helluva price. Very lightly breaded with great seasoning over fries/basket. 100% eating here again; and the owner is super nice and genuine.”

“Best noodle soup around if you like Vietnamese PHO you will love this soup.. for other reviewers this IS NOT Vietnamese PHO it is prepared differently with the accompaniments. “Walked into Uncle D's and was greeted with the savory smell of bbq. The menu is displayed on a chalkboard, and there are more options on a dry-erase board. You know you are getting something good, and now you have to decide how hungry you are.

Ordered some seafood, brisket, and the "301" combo, which is wings, sausage, and ribs with a side of fries, baked beans, and collard greens.

I was not prepared for how delicious and juicy the brisket was. I lost my composure and got lost in the feeling of being at a family bbq. The ribs were just as savory, with the right amount of seasoning and pictures don't do it justice. The wings were the best I've had in a long time and didn't need any sauce. I also ordered the fish and shrimp for later but sampled them at home. Both the fish and shrimp are seasoned just right and fried perfectly. The sides are just as good as the rest, but I enjoyed the collards best. There are peach or apple cobblers, but I did not order them this time, as I had plenty of food for lunch and dinner.

Based on this first order, I will be going back here more often for the wonderful food and decent price.

If you love bbq and haven't tried Uncle D's, I highly recommend you give it a try. They also have catering options for those who need to feed a family or have a party.”

“Ordered online. No bread and no tomatoes, along with lack of communication to inform us of the changes to our order. The just put it on the pick up rack. They made it how they wanted too(Flatbread, no tomatoes, and what appears to be undercooked steak meat). This has been happening to me to often lately and it is unacceptable.”
