We found this place completely by accident.

We had driven to Perryville to pick up an online Ikea order from the nearby warehouse, and needed somewhere to eat while we were in the area.

I was not expecting anything special.

Then the food came out.

My wife suggested ordering the meatballs as an appetizer, and I am so glad she did.

They were clearly homemade.

Tender. Flavorful. Fall-apart good.

And the sauce was excellent.

Not bland… Not watery.

Not “generic pizza place red sauce.”

It tasted like someone's grandma was cooking in the back and actually cared.

Then came the pizza, which was just as impressive.

The crust was thin, crisp, and beautifully done.

The kind of crust that actually snaps a little when you fold it.

That is my kind of pizza. Just like in New York City.

What made the whole thing even better was how unexpected it was.

We were not on some carefully planned food trip.

We were not going out of our way because someone told us this place was famous.

We just happened to stop in because we were nearby.

And somehow we ended up having one of those meals you keep thinking about long after the fact.

It has been almost a year since we were there, and I still remember how good those meatballs and that pizza were.

That says everything.

Definitely worth stopping in if you are in the area.

Honestly, based on our experience, it is worth the drive.

“The Husband and I were hungry and didn’t want to break the bank for dinner. I ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta and my husband got the veal Parmesan pasta. Both meals came with a fresh salad and garlic bread. Both were delicious. The salad was made with fresh ingredients with a great presentation. The pasta dishes were both amazing and huge! I got the Italian cheesesteak and hubby got the mushroom cheesesteak and we shared an order of the stuffed grape leaves. Everything was fantastic! I loved the sauce they put on my cheesesteak!
