“The absolute best place for Acai bowls and smoothies. To me this is the number one business in this field. On average I try to get South Block between 2 to 4 times per week. Staff is incredibly friendly and inside and out there are great places to sit. Visit them on a very very very hot day and you'll feel like your in heaven.“

The service is always wonderful, and the Cowabunga Smoothie is one of my personal favorites. Everything they serve is made with natural, organic ingredients, so you don’t have to worry about a bunch of ultra-processed stuff going into your body. “I just discovered South Block because I work nearby, and honestly… I can’t believe it took me this long. It’s quickly become my absolute favorite place to go. Everything tastes so fresh, clean, and genuinely nourishing—you can tell they care about what they’re serving.

Their smoothies are a lifesaver, especially during my first trimester. Light, refreshing, and packed with goodness—they’re exactly what I need when I want something healthy but still delicious. It’s one of the few places where “healthy” doesn’t feel like a compromise at all.

And beyond the food, the people make it even better. Every single time I walk in, I’m greeted with a smile. The staff are consistently kind, welcoming, and just radiate good energy—it really sets the tone for your whole day.

“Since checking this place out, I have become a regular customer, and now come in 1-2x a week for a grocery restock. I have had no time to cook since the new year and had been eating out almost every meal.... but there are so few places around with healthy options. I am so picky about what fruits and veggies, organic items, etc. that I eat, and thankfully sprouts has provided great options for that! The baristas/cashiers are always so helpful and kind to us. Some of my favorites are-- ALL of the soups (seriously that chicken and rice is perfection, especially if you are under the weather), turkey chili, thai wrap, veggie wrap, egg roll in a bowl, drunken noodles, bbq chicken and succotash, the vitality ginger drink (that spice burns but feels good!), the challah and sourdough bread, eskimo bites for a treat, and the strawberry blondie brownies! I am trying new things as the menu changes, but these have been on my constant restock when available of what I have had so far!! I recently learned they can heat the items for you, so you can eat a hot meal there (I have not done this yet myself, as this is like grocery shopping for me so i take it home... but i have seen lots of people in there enjoying their meals!) I have seen some complain about the prices, but if you know the quality of what you are getting (local, organic), then you would realize these are very fair prices! If I have ever wanted to request something or had a slight issue, Sprouts has always been more than happy to accommodate. Thank you Sprouts for providing great service and food options to the community! You will see me again soon! Gluten free, Dairy free, or Flexitarian, check them out!“

this is for the regional manager/corporate/IT: please fix the app ordering - more customizable options (no/optional toppings like fruit) and also the point system doesn’t even work (applicable point options not showing up, also a bowl credit being $15 in fine print but $12.99 in store???). I literally can’t ever order my bowls ahead of time and it’s just ridiculous atp in 2025☹️“

Everything from the base to the fresh fruit toppings is so vibrant and delicious, and the whole place just feels like a tropical escape. “Went here with plans to get a wheatgrass shot after a chaotic night. I was greeted at the counter by the manager, Antonio. He was such a delight, friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. He walked me through the different items and even convinced me to get the season special, a toast with Nutella, strawberries, and coconut, that with the wheatgrass shot was exactly what the doctor ordered! Will definitely be coming back to South Block!“

“I’m thrilled to have a Sweetgreen in McLean. Their food is always delicious, filling, and fresh. I was worried about surviving without them after they were temporarily closed, but I’m delighted they’re back.

Despite frequent visits, I’ve only had a few order errors and they’ve been swiftly addressed by the customer service team. It’s reassuring to know the food is consistently good, and portion sizes are reasonable.“

“This lovely and comfortable restaurant is very vegetarian/vegan restaurant but it does serve meat and fish so please don't be dissuaded by the labels. Large, airy restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Went with friends - waiter was so friendly. In fact, all the staff were. Food was delicious. All healthy and freshly prepared. Highly recommend.“

“An amazing Playa Bowls location that is worth a stop if you’re in Arlington. I have enjoyed this chain in various states, but this one is not too busy and very efficient in making what ever you order. I had the Protein Power bowl and the tidal wave smoothie. Both were absolutely delicious, and I was able to make vegan thanks to vegan protein powder being an option!

The space is quite large considering the location, one benefit that can be overlooked when frequenting this chain in other cities, as they have to accommodate to fit in certain cities. Overall I will be returning to this location whenever I am in town!“

“I come to this place mainly as a quick stop because the food is relatively healthy. However, to be honest, the taste is just average—not really that good. The portion size is also a bit small for the price. The photo I’m attaching makes it look like a generous portion, but in reality it’s served on a smaller plate, which makes it seem like more than it actually is.

I’ve tried other locations from the same chain where the food tastes fresher and much better. At this location, it was just okay. I usually only come here if it’s necessary, since it’s not something I really crave. The service, though, is good.“
