We have been enjoying the amazing food at Hard Times Cafe for many years!! Our favorites are the chili of course & the original chicken wings. The staff is always friendly & attentive. It is a no frills sort of place,but who needs frills with food this good!! Highly recommend!
It's been about two decades since I've been back to Hard Times. It seems nothing has changed except that they opened up the kitchen so that it's fully exposed now. And they put a bar in front of it. The whole place has a locals only feel to it with a bit of a greasy patina.
I had the bacon burger and it was very good. The onion ring had to be moved to the side of the plate though. That is one limp, oily onion ring. The mini corn dogs were good, and my wife enjoyed her chili.

Hard Times is always a go to for me and my family. The food is excellent, the wait staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the prices are very reasonable. The decor brings back a nostalgic feeling, it's just a great place.
