Food was amazing!!! This was our first time here and we all loved it. In the words of my son: “Food was bussin bussin”
Nancy was our server and she was so nice and helpful!

We love the flavored margaritas here - they are made well and of full of flavor! Nancy gave us exceptional service.

Good food, better drinks and atmosphere in town center with outdoor seating next to live music. Family friendly!

A frequent patron, this place has struggled in the face of the rising Asian population between NoBe and Rockville. The portions are smaller, the food decent but now overpriced and the drinks great but outrageously expensive. Restaurants have a lifecycle and this one may be close to the end. It’s never full anymore and has weak live music on weekends, a tell-tell sign of the end. Maybe try an Asian-mex fusion? Would that even work?

Went there for a margarita and a quick appetizer. Worse service and experience I had in over 10 years. Service was very, very, very slow. Ordered 2 margaritas, $15 each served in water classes and all ice. Very disappointing. Took about 35 minutes for the server to come back and take out food order. Ordered an appetizer. It took 40 minutes to come out. We were hungry and there was music so we were patient. Finally got the food. It was cold. Nobody ran the food out fresh. I didn’t complain as server was nowhere to be seen and I could get her attention to wave her down. If they took it back I would have to wait another 40 minutes. A 90 minute meal took almost 3 hours.

We came here on a date night. The drinks were good. Service was great, servers were quick to respond, and the tables were clean.

Live music was fantastic! But, the food was odd. My steak tasted off, the food was bland, and was puzzled by the Caesar salad (that tasted the best). Food took a while considering there were two other tables and I'm not sure why it was so expensive. After reading other reviews I'm praying I don't get food poisoning.

**Update 8/10/25 we previously had given this place 5 stars but this visit was not good. The woman that sat us down looked mad and barely said a hello. She never offered drinks so we just stuck with the water they brought. The amount of salsa with the chips is a tiny cup not enough for us 4. The prices are way to high for the quality of food and service they are providing. Lastly we ordered our go-to dish Molcajete . It was very disappointing the steak was so tough we left it all behind and the shrimp had zero flavor. They did bring us another portion of chicken to make up for the meat but still the price paid was not worth it for all that chicken. Sadly it was so disappointing we will not be coming back. For the record the kids quesdailla that we paid an extra $4 to add some chicken to was really good.**
We went a Sunday around 2pm and it was not busy. The flavor and service was on point. Will definitely be returning.

The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. We’ve eaten lunch and dinner several times and always had a good dining experience. Recommend bringing back the mushroom tacos.

Plaza Oaxaca offers recipes from Oaxaca Mexico in a charming setting. Recommend their horchata (milk, rice, cinnamon drink) and mildly spicy tacos. The Queso Fundido appetizer was amazing - I loved the shrimp and cheese, but was not brave enough to try the Chapulines. They just brought in a new chef who is revamping the menu to be more traditional.
They also have live music on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as being close to the Rockville Square stage for summer concerts.

My father and I stopped here for lunch. We had the sopa de tortillas which was incredibly flavorful. Highly recommend. We also had the Oaxaca Combo with enchiladas and their mole and salsa verde were delicious. The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed and will be back!
