“Apparently it will not allow you to post reviews that do not recommend this business... So, I decided to select that I recommend the business so, that I could leave my review. I've always had a great experience, but the last time my family and I ordered and went and sat down and waited for our order, after a while we finally went to see what was going on and our orders were sitting there half melted and they were all the wrong orders, and not just us but all of the other customers there as well. It seemed the young girl making the ice cream and shakes had no idea what she was doing along or what was in each shake and neither did the lady taking the orders. When we brought it to their attention the young girl had an extremely bad attitude as well. It was very disappointing considering we made a special trip and drove 35 minutes there for bad service and wrong orders.”

“Barrel 9 has all the right stuff. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, the most delicious nosh, and an amazing selection of bourbons and wine. I solely came for the bourbons to sample some of the harder allocation bottles and fell in love with the food and staff. This little gem is what the SOMD area needs more of. “The Ruddy Duck in Solomons is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and had a great overall vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. The food was spectacular—everything we ordered was fresh, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. You can really tell they put thought and care into their menu. Every bite was delicious, and it’s definitely the kind of place where you leave already thinking about what you want to try next time. Our server, Nicole, was amazing and incredibly attentive. She made sure we were taken care of the entire time without ever being overbearing. Her friendly attitude and attention to detail really elevated the experience. What really stood out was that the owner, Carlos, came by to check on us personally. That extra touch says a lot about how much they value their customers. He was genuinely friendly, approachable, and made us feel appreciated. Between the outstanding service, delicious food, and great atmosphere, I would highly recommend The Ruddy Duck to anyone in the area. We had such a great experience and I can’t wait to visit their other location soon!”

“We were a party of 19 people coming in after kayaking. They gave us the large backroom which was perfect. The drinks were out immediately. They handled the separate checks situation well. Good was excellent. Great variety and excellent quality. I don't think anything was out of a can or vendor. They pride themselves on local meats and produce and it showed. I had the Normandy which was grilled roast beef, onions, mushrooms on baguette. The side of coleslaw got missed but was quickly corrected. Glad since it was fantastic. I even bought a half pound to take home to family. Great place Great value. Would definitely go again and wife now interested in going.”
