“Now I have been eating at Capt pats for years, my whole family has and never had issues. Last night was for sure a bummer I called in the morning and put a order in for a half bushel of males for 5 pm. We had friends from out of town visiting who never had crabs. Now we live 30 mins away. We went all the way there picked up our crabs and got home and got everything set up and we literally had 20 crabs! I was so upset. I called them by this time it was 6:30, and they didn't even give us a call, yes they had my number. The lady started laughing saying yes your other bag is here. So not only did we have to make that drive back down there, our crabs also sat out for almost 2 hours. That second bag was not very tasty and our whole night was just ruined. Ofc I'm still going to eat there it's my fav place but yesterday was for sure upsetting and ALOT of time and gas wasted”

“We came to the Ruddy Duck while in town visiting family so we could have a belated anniversary date.. We had a most incredible experience...our server David was attentive and pleasant without being over bearing...his menu recommendations were on point! The crab dip is stellar...my husband and I got what was on special...he got the crab cake burger with duck fat fries and I got the steak frites...everything was cooked perfectly! The duck fat fries beat out the well known ones from our current home town, and the steak was melt in your mouth...the mushroom peppercorn sauce was to DIE for... I was so thrilled that Chef agreed to sell me a small container of just the sauce to take home. My husband is going to regret that he brought me, because now we are going to have to go back every time we come back to visit family...10 stars out of 5! ❤️”

“I absolutely love these people. Not only does the pizza rock, they are the most friendly people you could ever ask for. I usually have my dog with me and today they hooked me up with a water dish for her (numbskull dad forgot water) and my order was a little slow due to a big crowd so they gave me a gift certificate for later. (I’d come back regardless) I can’t say enough about the atmosphere for sure. I always feel welcome and appreciated! My dog and I love you guys!”

From the ambience, to Jessica our amazing bartender, to the well crafted menu. It was a beautiful time. We all can’t wait to stop in again. The flavorful fall menu was a treat in disguise and Jessica’s knowledge, commitment and passion spoke through the food and drinks. Well done! And thank you!”

“Maddie was our hostess, she was great on the phone when I called ahead & in person. Our server was LJ he was very attentive, took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Ribs my husband had were perfectly made. I choose Salmon & grilled shrimp & the were outstanding. We both brought leftovers home for lunch today.”

“This is my favorite place to get stuffed ham. I drive over 6 hours round trip from the Eastern Shore to get it several times a year. This time I got some chicken salad as well. Delicious!”

“Where do I even begin? The night before our wedding Sunny personally met us at the door with Manhattans, IPAs and cups of bacon. He and his staff made our incredibly culturally diverse family feel at home. When I needed a place to hold a cancer fundraiser for my dearest friend on the planet, Sunny not only allowed us to use his place without changing us, he allowed us to provide and auction off food and donated 10% of the bar receipts. Not the profits, the receipts. If there is a kinder, more generous business owner in St. Mary’s County I’d love to meet them. We no longer live in the county but every time we visit, we are greeted with a warm sincere hug from a good human we are proud to call friend.”

“I had a fantastic pad thai that was prepared quickly and the gentleman at the counter was incredibly pleasant. The spicy scale curve is not what you might expect though, I wouldn't exceed a 4 if it's generally not your thing.”
