This is the greatest Tavern in Washington County, maybe even the entire state! You will not be disappointed by your visit to this great and historic place. Wether you’re on the C&O trail and need a reliable stop for lunch or if you just want to unwind in the late evening after a long day, this place should be your go-to! The Captain(owner) is very knowledgeable, the bartenders/cooks are friendly and love to serve, and the atmosphere is welcoming. 11/10 easy
Decided to stop in on a visit to Antietam. The menu looked good, so we stopped by. The food was great. Atmosphere was fun. What made us only give it 3 stars, 1 star for service, was because our server charged an extra $10 for their tip. We had already left one, but when we looked at the charge online, there was an extra $10 added. So if you go visit, pay cash.
In the beginning, we were confused by the calmness of the outside of the building. We thought it might be close, I definitely recommend some music to attract more people or something along those lines. Once inside, we were surprised at how cool it was, and the waiter and waitress were super attentively.
Food was top-notch, and the fries were a winner! Thanks to the cooks for such a delicious meal from my entire family and friends
