“It was a beautiful early springlike day when I dined here so I requested a table outside. The food was delicious - I had the brussel sprouts appetizer and the chicken tagine. Excellent flavors in both. My server was very kind and helpful. I splurged on the crunch bar dessert which was delightful! I will definitely return for another meal.“

“The shrimp and grits will forever be my GO TO meal here! The grits were so creamy and delish! The Cajun cream sauce was well-seasoned and not salty at all! I chose to dine in today and the wait time was short, about 10-15 min. I always make this stop when I'm in the area.“

“We got two steak and cheeses and a turkey club after a mediocre experience in Philly trying to get a good steak and cheese. We got two can cokes and 3 sandwiches coming up to around $38 total. Let me tell you they have an extensive menu and the service is super fast and super kind ! Sadly they close pretty early but they cater to the working crowd so they are up pretty early. When we walked in we knew the food was going to be good just based off the amount of customers , the cleanliness of the restaurant, the recommendations from the owner , and how sweet everyone in there was I wish I could've showed you all pictures of the food but once we unwrapped our steak and cheeses they were gone with in seconds. Oh my gosh this is what you call redemption from traveling 2.5 hours to get one of the "best" cheesesteaks and you only needed to drive 5 min for one of the best steak and cheeses ever ! The fries were nice and pipping hot and I'm not a turkey club girl but this was soooo good. We will be back next week for another round of sandwiches.“
“You don’t go here for the atmosphere. There is little to no dining area. This is more of a takeout restaurant. Every time I visit the service is wonderful, they make sure you are satisfied with your food & the food portions are worth the price. This place is pretty inexpensive with great food options. I don't live in the area but normally when I visit I get the grilled chicken sub that has a spicy kick to it or the steak omelette with a side of home fry & it exceeds my expectations every time. “I recently visited the location and I must say Inwas well pleased. I am from NC originally and my Lady is from NY. We both have a passion for food. She owns her own catering business and I am a southern food specialist. We both are in agreement that hands down this is the best restaurant we have tried in the DMV.Heres why. The aesthetic was very appealing to the eye and that is very rare for smaller restaurant in my opinion. They took the time to make the space invititing. Secondly the wait staff was dressed nicely and very nice and assisted with the menu choices. Thirdly the management and host was very welcoming and greeted us well and engaged in conversation when possible. That is a 10 in my book.Last but certainly not least the food was cooked to perfection and not just a carbon copy dish. We asked for the chef to visit out table and he was very humble. He is definitely a hidden gem in the DMV. He deserves to be known around the globe.I would recommend this for a nice date night experience. Please make a reservation and get there early because parking is limited in the immediate area. I parked a block away but it was well worth it.“
