“Great ambiance and service in this Michelin star restaurant with food to match. We got the tasting menu to try a bunch of dishes and overall thought the food was still similar to Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food I’ve had before but with a unique twist on the vegetable dishes. My favorites were the cauliflower hash (reminded me a lot of Gujarati shaak that I ate growing up) and the halloumi + muhmmara dips. Unfortunately, I thought all the cocktails were very mid, so I wouldn’t recommend drinks there unless it’s something you already know.“
“Visited Compass Rose in DC and indulged in their Tour of the World brunch menu. It was an exquisite culinary journey featuring flavors from around the globe. Every dish was simply delicious! “A warm and inviting bar with friendly waitstaff and killer bartenders! My daughter and I spent a little time here to savor a few cocktails and we loved the vibe. The patrons also seemed like fun people and the drinks were amazing. Don’t forget to have a Black Label, as it’s the “currency of the Middle East”!“
“Hands down one of the best brunch meals I've ever had. I got the batata with toum and harissa, fried halloumi with apple compote and pistachio, and scrambled egg sandwich with grilled soujak. Ali was very attentive, noticed anytime I ran out of water or even napkins. Friendly and accommodating staff, bold ambience, and mouthwatering courses!“
“I'm very excited to have returned to Sababa. For a bit I had crossed it off my list as they had implemented one of those horrible scammy restaurant surcharges and I will not visit any restaurants that impose those. However a friend let me know they removed it, so back I went!! Hurrah! The food is delish but I have to admit I really love the creative cocktail variety even more. Thanks for dropping the surcharge- I'm back!!“
“The food is delicious and the good thing is they give so much for a reasonable price. The ground beef and chicken combo is my favourite. The service is very good, takes very less time for preparation. The staff is courteous. Would prefer outdoor dining at this location.“
“Omg, District Falafel - what a real treat! As a Palestinian, I rarely eat at ME restaurants cause it's easier, less disappointing and always better to just go to mom's! My sister/friend introduced me to this place and I enjoyed it so much that I will even tackle the beltway to go into Bethesda from VA! The manager (M'hammad)/counter/table (Edwin?) staff were extremely nice, friendly, patient and just really kind! Pricing was quite reasonable & the same regardless of lunch/dinner - a real bonus. Easy parking, casual and just the right size inside. We had an amazing set of beautifully presented dishes before us incl: Adas soup (thinner than I'm used to, but SUPER delicious!), the falafel was so fantastic that I took a few dozen home to share w/family (will definitely try the spicier ones on next visit!), chicken shawarma & kifteh were nicely flavored & tender, and all the side dishes, hummus, baba ghannouj, salads, pickled items, pita bread hit the mark. Thank you for everything - Can't wait to come back!“
“Cute spot located very close to union station. Came in for dinner on a week night and the place was decently busy. The server was kind and attentive. For food, I had the lamb shawarma which was very tasty and actually the perfect amount of food, although the pita bread that came with was pretty dry. My friend got the lamb sliders which also looked pretty good!“
“One of the best vegetarian fast food restaurants that serves delicious falafel is "shouk". The falafel made with a perfect blend of chickpeas, herbs, and spices, resulting in a flavorful and crispy exterior with a moist and tender interior. The texture is just right, neither too dry nor too mushy. Each bite is packed with a burst of flavors that will leave you wanting more. The falafel is also gluten-free, making it suitable for those with dietary restrictions. The presentation of the falafel is also impressive. It is served in a warm pita bread, accompanied by a variety of fresh vegetables, such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and pickles. The falafel is topped with a creamy tahini sauce that adds a tangy and nutty flavor to the dish. The service is excellent, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always ready to assist you in choosing the best options for your dietary preferences. The restaurant has a clean and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a quick and satisfying meal. Overall, The shouk go-to place for the best vegetarian fast food falafel. Their falafel is flavorful, made with high-quality ingredients, and served with fresh and delicious accompaniments.“
“Love the bottomless brunch - lots of delicious small plates (small portions, order multiple if very hungry), great service, nice atmosphere, and lots of vegetarian options. Got the olives, bread, hummus, baba ganoush, brussel sprouts, red lentil soup, a spinach eggs Benedict, potatoes, french toast, and more - Can't wait to go back!“

“Amazing falafel sandwich! High quality ingredients, and the falafels are perfectly seasoned. They’re crunchy on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. The owner is super kind and generous. This place is super popular so get there early!“
“The food tastes very good. I was surprised there weren't more people dining in here, but whatever. it made service very quick. Falafel tastes really good, and I really like how they package up their sandwiches. I do wish the pita was warmed (it seemed cold), but everything else was great. The fries have a unique spice on them which gave it a flavor I never had (in a good way).“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this establishment and I must say, the manti here is absolutely delightful! The flavors were rich and authentic, and the texture of the dumplings was perfect. The portion size was generous, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend trying the manti here for a truly satisfying culinary experience. Can't wait to come back for more!“
“We stopped here to get coffee and a sweet treat and ending up getting the orange blossom croissant and morning bun, which was so good! We also got some baklava for some friends and family, which came in these really cute yellow tin box- a perfect gift!“
“Fantastic food! I ordered the kofta and yogurt drink. But the best part was the naan that came with the platter! Soft yet crunchy, fresh and perfectly charred. The kofta was seasoned well. And the yogurt drink was perfectly salted.Kid-friendliness: Fine to bring kids here, counter service style means it’s more relaxed“
“The food was excellent----2 -lamb plates and 1-shrimp plate. The lemon potatoes were different and delicious. The warm pita bread and humus was a great appetizer while we waited on our order. This was a great little place for lunch after a trip to College Park IKEA--very close. Only counters---no tables, but food is worth it.“
“Opened the shop 10 minutes after closing to make me a chicken shawarma to go on New Year’s Eve. Staff are always kind. Food is quick, generously-portioned, affordable, and delicious. I like having the option to eat outside when the weather is nice. A Cleveland Park gem for sure!“
“Dining at shababi was an absolute delight. I came to celebrate after I finished taking my board exams and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. To start they brought some hummus topped with shredded beef and beat spread, which the former was my favorite. They later brought the roasted chicken which had been marinated for 48 hours plus. Every bite was so flavorful. As this is a pop up I recommend you go soon and get a feel for Palestinian food“
“When I first came to Shah’s, I did not know if it would be better than the competition. After taking my first bite, I instantly knew, that shahs halal was the greatest things Allah has ever created. Easily the greatest chicken and lamb platter I have ever had in my life. The greatest.“
“What I can't Say about this place .I am in love with their Falafel, Tahini, fresh veggies ?, pickles ? ,The Crunchy falafel, but above all the Zattar Fries ? is out of the Sensation.I am Officially inviting the owners to come to Jersey and New york area and we will get them the place and funding needed , this place should be In every major city in The USA .“
“Delicious, generously portioned, and reasonably priced food in Ballston is a rare treasure. The platters can easily feed two people and are protein-packed no matter which option you choose. The naan and chickpeas are especially wonderful. We'll absolutely be coming back again!!“
“Halal Brothers is one of the best hidden gems in Silver Spring! I always get the delicious chicken over rice. The chicken is always ultra fresh and perfectly cooked, portions are large, the white sauce and spicy sauces are incredible, it's balanced with the perfect amount of rice and greens, the price is low cost, and the owners are very friendly and kind. Highly recommend to all!“
“Nice place. Friendly staff, good pricing. They add sour cream to the shawarma instead of mayonnaise. So be cautioned.Parking: It's a nice and cozy place. Authentic shawarma flavor except the sour cream replacement for mayonnaise. It's still delicious and a must have for those chasing authentic Arabic flavors.“
“Delicious food, beautiful presentation, affordable prices. Also get free baked goods and some sauces. First time eating Middle Eastern rice, the rice grains are longer, slimmer and lighter than Asian rice grains, quite delicious and refreshing. Friendly employee. Good space, good music.“
“Ate here on Sunday with a group of extended family and we had a wonderful meal. We were seated upstairs and I'm unable to climb stairs. They do have an elevator that staff must take you because it takes a very meandering route behind locked doors. Our size group was required to order the prix fixe but everyone was satisfied with the available choices. My son thinks we ate all but two of the items available. Daughter-in-law and I shared two from the first course, fried halloumi and spinach croquettes. I liked the halloumi but loved the croquettes because of the texture. We also ended up with an order of batatas on our table that nobody claimed so we all tasted, and I liked the texture of them as well. For an entree I chose the sausage and cheese sandwich because I wanted the protein. Liked the filling a lot but it was too much bread for me with dessert coming. I got to taste all 3, but was glad I ordered the baklava, which was a small portion but SO good. Second choice would have been the chocolate mousse which had a very intense chocolate flavor.“
“Had a great experience the other night at th Ramadan Special Iftar Buffet hosted by Jerusalem Mediterranean Restaurant. The buffet began promptly at sundaown and there were just so many dishes to try! Highlighting the meal was the whole roasted lamb, and the Koshari. Delicious! The lamb was a tender slow-roasted perfection, where even the lamb belly was a melty collagen experience. Like a good pot-roast, but better and with lamb. The Koshari was something I had never tried and was a flavorful spicy mix of rice, macaroni eggplant and spices. I can imagine it to be a good comfort food. My wife raved about the Roasted Eggplant with Walnut and enjoyed the chicken soup, and fried tilapia. The Chocolate Baklava and Om Ali were a sweet ending to the meal. I like the rice pudding too! The Iftar Buffet is a good showcase try out many of their fine dishes. One of my co-workers told me he had an event catered from here as well. He had a whole roasted lamb that served his family and guests for a reasonable price. VIDEO:“
“Absolutely loved dining at this Persian restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious, bursting with authentic flavors that truly delighted my taste buds. Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the richness and depth of Persian cuisine. We had Adas Polo with mast-e mosir and Dough and we took Kale Pacheh home. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Can't wait to return for another flavorful journey!“
“Mobys is a great place to grab a meal. Really good kabobs. The joojeh (chicken) sandwich is great but the gyro is fantastic. The absolute best item and must have is the hummus. After eating the Mobys hummus, I can’t buy it at the grocery stores anymore. Seriously, get the hummus and some extra bread.Parking: You can park in two separate garages or two separate parking lots for free.“
“This is a great spot with a warm vibe. It looks small in entering, but there's additional seating in the back. The service is excellent too. The food came out in less than 20 minutes, and the portions are a good size. Just enough to fill you, but not so much you have leftovers. I had the salmon burger and fries, both were cooked perfectly - the fries were crisp and the salmon was juicy. Both were too lightly seasoned for me but still enjoyable. I appreciated that neither were salty. I'll be back to try other options.Parking: Street parking may require you to walk a few blocks.“
