“I don't travel to Alexandria much but I was with my baby and he took me out for lunch on his break.
He was craving a Ruben I could not decide between the Potomac Club,Tuna or the Sweet Virginia
I went with the club.
We were greeted when we came in,no wait time (but I think that is because people order and just come pick up,there were a couple bags ready to go beside the register)
We ordered and I looked around while waiting and also got a Cheerwine and some Route 11 chips.
The club was delicious 😋 it actually had a decent amount of meat !:I am not much of a fan of Avacado but on this sandwich with the sauce it worked and the bacon was cooked to perfection!
P.s I have no pic of the ruben because this man killed it after he opened it. (Although he did say that the beef was not as tender as he is used to)

“Just happened on this deli while wandering around as tourists. Saw the lines of locals and realized this is where we want to eat. The ambiance is pure deli. Everything clean and appropriate. The food is solid. Everything tasted fresh and good: Simple and pure. We met the mom and pop owners who ended up realizing we were tourists and gave us pointers on what to see and how to order food in the region. Ended up chatting about life in general. The flavors are popping off my tongue as I enjoy the most juicy steak & cheese. This is somewhere to stop by and watch the game while you eat in their social seating area (with enough TVs and comfortable chairs).

I was just stopping by after a visit to Catholic University. My choice was better than many alternatives (McDonalds, and such). The atmosphere is “family/college”.

“Love this place. Walk in the door and immediately to the right is Lawd Shawarma! A wonderfully warm meal of fish & eggs with vegan bread and Christmas-spiced Sorrel / Hibiscus drink. “I've known about this place for years. They have been there for many years, so it's like a mom and pop type of café. I used to work not far from it and my boss used to order their reuben sandwiches for the entire office back in the day on Fridays. Now, I no longer work in DC, but I make it a habit of going there just to get their Reuben sandwiches. They use kosher meat so the meat is delicious. I have tried other reuben sandwiches at other places and there is no match to the reuben sandwiches here. I no longer eat them anywhere else anymore because whenever I do, I'm always disappointed. So if you're looking for a fantastic amazing reuben sandwich this is the place to go. I have never ordered anything else on the menu when I go there. One day maybe I'll try their fish sandwiches because I heard they are good too. So I give them a 5 out of 5 stars.“

“I'm from out of town but, as a seasoned traveler, I spotted a UPS delivery driver eating and noticed the plain foil wrap he was holding. That was a sign of flavor packed simple food. He told me where to buy it and went straight there. Chicken Madness is what I order and at first impression, the sandwich was fresh hot in temperature. Then, when I took the first bite I was reborn. I would love to visit DC again and most definitely stop by for 3 of these amazing sandwiches.“

“Been going here since I was a senior in high school and now Iam in '60s!
They have wonderful homemade sauces and delicious cheese options. They also have frozen foods that you can take home and heat up.
Love their mortadella but they also have other cold cuts.
They make in my opinion the best pizza in town. You can order a whole pie with toppings of your choice or you can just drop in and grab a slice or two. Empanada, Spanish pie and subs are highly recommend.“

I ordered an egg and cheese scrambled on a croissant. Let me explain to you how good the sandwiches, it’s light and buttery it’s fluffy, The croissant is fresh. The egg is not salty. Overall, this will be my only place to visit for breakfast in the Alexandria Virginia area. It is actually the only breakfast place that I will visit anywhere, if I am in the DMV.
