“When I ponder the highlights of The Deli, it is hard to decide. Is it the fantastic subs on fresh bread? The kind staff? The nostalgia of dining in a family-owned business that was a part of my childhood? Is it the fact that the owner used to cut my subs into thirds so I could share with Mom and Dad, then he switched to cutting them in half after Dad died without me having to ask? It is ALL of these things and more.“

“Yesterday, I ordered an omelet and grilled chicken salad through DoorDash. The vegetables in the salad were very fresh and well-composed, and the grilled chicken was delicious. The omelet was also delicious, and the home fries that came with the combo were delicious. I'm happy to have found this place and will order from there often.“

“20241031 First time here. Bring cash to save credit card fee $$$. This is a very simple deli with a reasonably priced menu. I got the warmed combo sandwich that came with lots of meat! I wish there was an option to add some veggies like onions, raw or grilled. I also would have liked it better if each slice of meat was grilled separately, which would be tastier. I should have asked for the bread to be warmed on the grill as well. I need to lower my expectations ?. The employee was friendly and helpful. I wished he mentioned the daily special, which was displayed by the register and not by the overhead menu. I would have gotten that instead of a sandwich. I like their drink options. I never had soursop drink, and it was not sour (thankful) and it was real good! The owner was very nice. If I come back, I will try the special.“

“This hidden gem needs to be FOUND by everyone! Met one of the owners, Mark, in Pazzo Pomodoro recently who told me about Nozzo Pazzo. I have since fallen in love with their sandwiches the Bugs Bunny and the Green Arrow wraps (vegan) which I return to get regularly. Then found out they also do breakfast! After Mark described how they make the French toast, I couldn’t stop thinking about it! I had it this morning, and believe me it is melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The place is so beautifully set up, and the tunes playing over the speakers were equally awesome! An absolute must try!“

“Went here every time I had to work in the area. Santa Monica and fries were my go to. Sometimes when I was in the area for the day I would get breakfast in addition to lunch later, they are that good. The Chinese they had at the to-go bar was also a reliable choice. Don't get there that often any more though, but they are still what they were years ago.“

While I do miss Ezat, who used to bake the flatbreads in the back of the store, this market carries many types of great ME breads and many other ME products. I had a Reuben, and my wife had chicken salad on a sub roll with lettuce and onion. Most patrons seemed happy and familiar, likely coming from the surrounding offices. The owners welcomed and checked on us, a nice touch. My sandwich was larger than expected, and hers was too. She would've liked a little salt and tarragon, but didn't ask for either. No complaints.“

“Cook/owner went out of way to make us 2 Korean bulgogi beef plates w/salad on the side that wasn't on today's menu. Beef was delicious but it was more "hamburger" than steak. This cafe was a bit hard to get into as it was located inside a multi-tenant building with front doors locked, and the guard simply ignore us, so we followed someone in. I'd like to try other items on the menu.“

Found out about Checkers Deli and Cafe through Yelp and I'm glad I did!The Food: For lunch, I went with a classic cheesesteak and fries. The cheesesteak was delicious! The meat was quality and the cheese paired with it was delicious. The portions are great as well, it won't leave you hungry tat's for sure. The Their food options are very well priced out as well.The Service: Staff were very friendly. They had our orders out fairly quickly even with a lunch rush. No complaints.Overall, a 4/5! “Like many others, I stumbled upon this place while waiting for my vehicle to be complete at SafeLite. My experience was review worthy. Enjoyed a late afternoon club sandwich, very neatly and freshly prepared. Staff were attentive and most polite. Menu and beverage options delightful. Most noteworthy, however, was the cleanliness. While I dined, the staff were working to clean the deli prior to closing on a Saturday afternoon. Tables, floors, deli counters, ordering area, condiments, etc were all exceptionally tidy, clean, organized, and simply outstanding. That type of care translates to a welcoming and memorable hidden deli gem that locals should continue to patronize as they have already for so many years.“

“There used to be another deli/coffee shop restaurant in this location, which before the pandemic, was crowded. But after the pandemic, barely I saw people going there, since many offices around the area have been gone or are not working full load.Anyway,I went there again to get a coffee, and I notice a new deli/coffee shop business there: now, Capital Cuisine.The owner was there, a polite and friendly gentleman.I got my coffee, and though the price was good, I didn't like the taste that much.The restaurant was sadly empty.Overall, not sure the owner can keep his coffee shop restaurant alive at that location, since again not that many people go there anymore.I think the owner may put more time and budget into local advertising, to grab the attention of the close-by offices/businesses, especially those which are within walking distance, therefore more people may go there and visit his restaurant.“

“A favorite breakfast spot for us early morning labor workers. Good food, good coffee and good people. The young lady working the register just may be the nicest person alive. The food can be a little pricey but I believe in paying for quality and the quality is definitely there. I highly recommend.“

“Been a loyal Sam's costumer for 3 years. Breakfast sandwiches and omelets are excellent. They offer a variety of lunch options hot and cold; Monterey Chicken Wrap, West Coast Turkey sandwich, and Club sandwiches are highlights. Boxed lunches are substantial, fresh made on sight, and reasonably priced especially in Chantilly. I've ordered up to 40 with 2-3 days notice and they had them ready to go at 10:00 the day of our event. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Dine in area is bright, clean, and comfortable with plenty of seating. I prefer smaller privately owned food shops over chain restaurants, that and the friendly hardworking staff make SAM's Deli a gem in my eyes.“

“I think sometimes people expect American style service but that is not the case here. We have to be realistic about who is employed here and perhaps who owns it, so expect those standards. I agree we should be given a top notch service regardless of the fact, mainly, because we are in the USA but this establishment is not a 5 star restaurant, it has never published to be nor it is part of a multibillion chain of restaurants so expect an average customer service style. Now when it comes to food……. Yum! I have been coming to this restaurant for over 6 years and it has never disappointed me with their food. It has a huge variety and their food is authentic Latino/Hispanic. I can for once vouch for their service and food. Maybe, I have not experienced their full on service since the majority of the time I carry out but I have never been given nothing but an “ok” service and delicious food! I highly recommend their food… their service i personally have never had any concerns but perhaps, management needs to look at these messages and do something about their service to attract more customers. The lack of space takes some of the entrance space so it makes it look smaller and their cleaning routine needs to be improved.“

“Honey baked ham is a secret gem. People forget they serve everything from full meals to amazing sandwiches. And they offer order online and pick up in store. So you can be in out and quick. This location was really quick and super clean. If you are looking for a side dish and cant decide. Try the Mac and cheese it is really good.“

“I've only done the hot bar/salad bar here and not MTO. Everything always seems very fresh, there's a great variety. The cashiers are super quick. Drink selection is huge (fountain and bottled drinks). Great option if you're super hungry or just need a little snack since the bars are by weight.“
