“I had fried chicken and French fries, and it was exactly how I like it. It was well done and well-seasoned. Actually, it was the best and had it twice in a row. He listened to what I wanted, and he made it happened.“
“What a great experience I had with this place. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming, the food is made with love and prepared with such flavor. I HIGHLY recommend coming here and supporting these good folks. 10/10 the Fufu, egusi w/ white fish and okra soup w/ mackerel.“

“The food is really good! I got jollof, fried rice with tilapia, turkey. Got beans and corn, ayamase sauce. Very delicious and fresh!
Only thing is make sure you call ahead to place your order, it’s not a dine in restaurant.
I fully recommend the food!“

“Beulah Africa Restaurant serves up some of the most soul-satisfying Nigerian dishes I've ever tasted. The egusi soup, okro soup with goat meat, and fish—is rich, flavorful, and deeply comforting. You can tell every dish is made with love and tradition.“

“The Vegan spot wasn’t open yet, so I found this little gem at the Lexington Market and I was pleasantly pleased. I got the Fufu, Peanut Stew, and half Egusi/Spinach and it was delicious! I definitely recommend Amala and the service was great as well! Very courteous and I will be returning for sure. Thank you!“
“Let’s talk about the lady behind the fantastic food first. From the first time I entered the owner has been a blessing to know and eat from. She is a fantastic spirt and chef. The food is hands down the best and the love in each ingredient while preparing the food is great. I suggest you stop by immediately to enjoy lunch and dinner. This African cuisine has a home cooked taste, the food is a plus for me!!!“

“I usually don't write reviews but with me being someone who has had a deep appreciation for African food since trying it for the very first time a few years back, I have to say that I really appreciate all the love that was put into this food in terms of taste, and the aesthetic and presentation of the food is definitely something to appreciate and I will definitely be ordering again. Thank you!
Also, if you happen to be congested but would still like to have something flavorful, their jollof rice and it's spices are definitely the answer for that problem 😉
Side Note: my food choice was a platter that came with peppered fish w/jollof rice and a side of plantain. I also bought a separate side of Plantain because I didn't know beforehand that the platter already had plantain included, but I was glad I did because my platter came with so much rice to save for later and I'll have more plantain on the side to go with it 😊“

“Best Kenyan Nyama Choma (Grilled Meat) on the east coast hands down. So we all love a good hole in the wall eatery and thats definitely the vibe here. Covid killed the traffic into this place but that's fine cuz there's less of a wait. THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!! Simple menu but sooo good. The ambiance is lacking but my eyes were closed as I capture the flavour of the food in every bite so it didn't matter. I meet the owner and he was so nice, inviting and extremely accommodating. Take away is also always an option. If your contemplating getting food from here just stop reading reviews and place your order now, then thank me later. This man knows his craft. Things to remember: at the moment its cash only and since your getting real authentic african style grilled meat there will be a wait but it will be worth every second. Your Welcome.“

“Having been a soldier and traveling the entire globe I can consider myself a picky experienced food connoisseur. So I must reject some of the other reviews and share my own experience. The staff were thankful, polite, informative, and the food was ready relatively quickly. The flavor varies between your own choices of heat and/spice levels. My wife had shrimp suya and fish suya and jollof and loved it. I had the egusi with meat/pounded yam, and turkey tips.
The restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were clean. The ambience was delightful. The music was entertaining, and they boxed up our food before departing (huge in my book). Also, the restaurant is BYOB!! We cannot wait for the outside area to be open in the summer.“
