“We very much enjoyed Rainbow African Restaurant -West African Cuisine. This place has a dine-in section, but it also does brisk carry-out business.
The decor and atmosphere are very charming and beautiful. I appreciate that there was a quieter place to enjoy our food a bit farther from the TV in the lobby.
I also appreciated the recommendations from the lady taking our order- she was very friendly and helpful. We particularly loved the Bofrot, Peanut Butter Soup, Fufu, Fried Plantains, and Jollof Rice.
The Suya Beef Kabob was quite tasty, but just a little too spicy for my palate (my husband thought it was perfect).
The prices were commensurate with the quality of food.
We're looking forward to returning and trying more dishes!“

“Looking forward to many more visits soon. Today was my initial dining experience and I am very satisfied! Fantastic soup and swallows; full bar; and did you know there's a dance floor?“

“This was a great experience! We were immediately greeted and welcomed. The music was a nice touch and we were able to enjoy a few shows. Our waitress was Josephine and she was kind and friendly, she always checked in to make sure our food was good and if we wanted anything else. The drinks were also amazing. They make a ginger drink with fresh ginger which was strong and bold. It made me feel like my immune system was … . There was also sobolo which had a deep powerful flavor. My favorite was their hibiscus lemonade which was not as strong but had a great flavor. All of their food was outstanding. I enjoyed their peanut butter soup and rice balls. The flavor was great and warmed me up. It felt like I was back in Ghana. This was a great experience and I can’t wait to come back!“

“The food was absolutely delicious and honestly made me emotional in the best way. The jollof rice had that real smoky party rice taste, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The bitter leaf soup tasted just like my mom’s cooking back home, and it truly made me miss home so much.
The owner came out to chat with us and asked how we liked the food. I told her how much I miss home and how I never learned how to make bitter leaf soup, and she was kind enough to share cooking tips and recipes with me. Such a warm and genuine person.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and smelled amazing the moment we walked in. We had the jollof rice, bitter leaf soup, moi moi, and meat pie — everything was delicious. And the chin chin is an absolute must-try!
5/5. Easily the best authentic Nigerian food we’ve had since visiting Nigeria. I absolutely recommend this place.“
