“UPDATE:
We visited BL on a Saturday night around 11pm, and it was packed. The host was very busy seating guests, so we waited just a couple of minutes. When he returned, we were greeted with the biggest smile, making us feel so welcome. Because it was so crowded, service was a little challenged, but it flowed nicely, and our server did a great job making recommendations when we weren't sure what we wanted. I have upgraded my review, changing the service to a "5" this time around. We will come back again... Thank you, BL, for making our visit worthwhile.

We have wanted to love this place, have been here three times, and the first time was good, the 2nd time OK, the last time....I'm done. The well for service is in one spot away from the guests, and that seems to be where the servers stay. Our last visit there, we sat for 12 minutes with bartenders walking by, but no one even said hi. The service was so abysmal. We walked out and went to Red Brick Tavern. We will give this place one more try, but that's about it... sorry.“

“We ended our evening at State Fare with dessert and drinks. Since it was Wednesday and 1/2 price whisky, we all had bourbon! The drinks and brownie sundaes were delicious! Service was outstanding! Jimmy the bartender and Alex the server were super friendly and very prompt! We love everything about State Fair and can’t wait to go back!“
