State Fare Reviews
The crabcake and shrimp salad club was the best sandwich I've ever eaten in my entire life!!!!
We ended our evening at State Fare with dessert and drinks. Since it was Wednesday and 1/2 price whisky, we all had bourbon! The drinks and brownie sundaes were delicious! Service was outstanding! Jimmy the bartender and Alex the server were super friendly and very prompt! We love everything about State Fair and can’t wait to go back!
I’ve been there several times now and State Fare has never disappointed. The food is all great, but their Shrimp and Grits dish is the best I’ve had north of New Orleans. State Fare is a pleasant spot for gathering with friends or a date night. The atmosphere is nice, especially when dining outside, and the staff is remarkable. They offer good drinks, including mimosas, and a nice happy hour from 2-5. The restaurant has outdoor seating, good service, and tasty food options like chicken and waffles, crab dip, and shrimp and grits. While some dishes like the chicken could use more seasoning, the overall experience is positive. The portions are decent, and the parking is convenient as it is located in a shopping area with plenty of space. It's a nice place to visit for brunch, lunch, or any time of the day, and worth returning to try the full menu. However, there have been mentions of slow service, which may affect the experience. Customers recommend not forgetting utensils for to-go orders, and the Monkey bread is noted as a delicious and generous portion.
