“We had the fried green tomatoes as our first appetizer. They were tender and topped with lumps of crabmeat. Spectacular! Then we had the fried cheese appetizer. I can’t remember the name of the cheese, but it was delicious in the accompanying sauce and olive oil and pesto. All of the dishes we had came out perfect. My filet medallions were so tender,they melted in my mouth. Hubby got the pork loin over mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts and loved it. We will definitely come back!“

She was familiar with the two customers in front of me. It definitely had a neighborhood friendly vibe. The shop was busy. Most of the tables on the first floor were taken up when I was there. Be sure to take a stroll up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was an adorable little spot for two people to sit and chat. The second floor has a great little area to sit and ready or study. The top floor was full of light. I ordered my usual cortado. It was a solid drink. The cortado wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything spectacular to write home about.“

My favorite is the shrimp quesadillas, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. I understand the churros are a favorite too, though I’ve not personally tried them. “My family and I have enjoyed Devens Deli for a few decades now. Deven, Hetal and the rest of the staff are absolutely amazing people who make amazing food. When my family comes to town and I tell them I know where to get the best shrimp salad sandwich, they go back to Virginia knowing the place to go is Devens Deli. The Soft shell crab sandwich is awesome and a good price, as is the fantastic crab cakes (which can give any of those “4 star restaurants” a run for their money) 🦀👍. Hetal makes THE BEST chocolate eggs around the Easter season and my son and I made it a tradition to get them every year!! “Stopped here for dinner with my husband while in the city. We had the crab dip egg rolls as an appetizer. My husband had the cheesesteak woth fries and I had the southwest chicken wrap with a side salad. My husband had a house margarita and I had the Kracken crush. Food and drinks were good. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. The only compliant I had was the table wasn't level so our drinks kept sliding down the slope.“

The Special Tibbs was so great that we asked for a separate order of it in chicken (lamb, beef, or chicken). We “bothered” our waiter quite a bit and he didn’t mind a bit. He was so caring and kind. It was such a neat little spot and with music playing. Just a whole vibe. 1000% will be returning!“
