Hubby had the Cajun Crab and Shrimp sandwich and I had the Salmon sandwich ... both served with their delicious fries. “I'll tell you, we were attending a big race at MIR and staying in an airbnb in the area. We were kinda set on BBQ but the place we were planning to eat at was a little to far. So we just picked Pinky's out of the blue and let me tell you, I'm so glad we did. We got smothered pork chops with two sides and a huge piece of carrot cake each for dessert. Large portions, awesome food, friendly people running the place, I have saved this place as if we are in the area this is where we are eating, and it's not overly expensive. Thanks to everyone there, it was great and we were definitely stuffed after. 5+ stars for Pinky's!!!”

“The soft serve at Shadyside Soft Serve Ice Cream is the creamiest I've ever had in recent memory. Cute little shop in a tiny little 'strip mall' that has lots of parking. Don't blink though when you are driving or you may miss it. It sits up a driveway to the back area of a property. Look for the ice cream flags by the driveway entrance and exit and the neon sign on the building. The staff is so very pleasant and eager to serve you. There is a really extensive selection of sweet & cold treats in cones or cups. Lots of traditional and very colorful toppings, too. Great way to cool off when it's blistering hot outside. But there is no dine in, only some seating outside under a roofed area.”

“Harvest Thyme Tavern is one of our most favorite restaurants in the DMV, yet a neighborhood gem. We probably eat here more than most go out to dinner in a month. I admire the family ownership and commitment to running the establishment on a daily basis. The food is sourced from our local farmers and that’s just another reason we love this place. The quality ingredients make all the difference in the food and the cocktails. Burgers, fish, salads, pasta and pizza no one else comes close to. Everything here tastes amazing. Pam has desserts to die for, always a select menu and then she has daily offerings that will have you questioning which one to go for. Have no doubt you will love everything! Hands down the best Spicy Cadillac Margarita and that alone speaks volumes. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The staff is always accommodating, personal, professional and friendly. “I had a wonderful experience at Porky’s BBQ. My wife and I were hosting our family for a Memorial weekend gathering and we did not want to cook, so we called Porky's. The ribs were tender and juicy, the pulled pork was flavorful and moist, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They made sure my catering order was right-sized, and hot when it was picked up. The portions were generous and the sauces were delicious. I highly recommend Porky’s BBQ for anyone looking for authentic North Carolina BBQ in Southern Maryland, and beyond!”
