The fact you gave postcard with the receipt as a souvenir and one less thing I'd have to buy on my trip and 2. The service was amazing. I forget what her name is now, but my waitress came over and cleaned off the table of the two or three crumbs of truffle I had and got me new silverware for the second course. I can't think of any other restaurant I've been to where I've had service that attentive before.“

“We have been going to La Tomate for years. Retired several years ago and moved away from DC. Every time we are in DC we always go to one of our favorite restaurant, La Tomate. I love the selection on the menu, always something new to try with the daily specials. La Tomate has great staff and an excellent location. “Bozzelli's Italian Deli on Vermont Ave is such a charming spot! The sandwiches are fresh, flavorful, and generously made, and the ingredients taste authentic. The space feels cozy and inviting, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I’d return to for a casual, chic meal.“

“This was our first visit to a local Italian restaurant in/at Bethesda row. Nice atmosphere. Service was very attentive.

The food was above average in general - we tried two appetizers, two main dishes and a desert.

There was a special on the menu - corn and crab agnolotti that was excellent. Zucchini appetizer was savory. The crème puff was also excellent. However, lamb shank didn’t impress.

It was a beautiful sunny day, and we were greeted with sunny faces and a friendly, highly professional staff. “Made a reservation for my wife's birthday as she's been craving chicken parm and it did not disappoint. Everything about the experience was wonderful from our server, Elise, to the delicious food, to the hospitable management. Had such a great birthday dinner and loved the experience. The pinot grigio we had, Loop (i think was the name), recommended by Elise was just a perfect pairing with the chicken parm and chicken marsala we had. Just a really fun experience.“

“My wife and I had an absolutely amazing evening dining out here on a long weekend trip to DC for our Birthdays. The food was incredible I have not found one dish at this or the Chicago location that wasn’t great. Abagail was simply the best waitress we have EVER had. She was attentive, personable and really went out of the way to give us the best dining experience my wife and I have ever had from top to bottom. We had a great experience in Chicago but I have to say I think the food was a touch better here. I am comparing caviar to caviar here as both were great, but DC has the win here and certainly did with our waitress as well.“

I did not try the pasta, which looked a little bit rich to me visually but my friends said they liked it - a grand space in the heart of Georgetown-recommended“

“We had an absolutely fantastic experience at this Italian gem! We opted for the experience (tasting) menu, and every course was outstanding. The Caesar salad was perfectly crisp and flavorful, the mushroom pasta was incredible, so rich, earthy, and just delicious. We added the lasagna, which was delicious and comforting, and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender.

My swordfish was perfectly cooked, and we finished with the Il Limone and chocolate tart (the team graciously made an exception since we didn’t want donuts), both desserts were divine.

The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely made the evening feel special. And the bar deserves its own shout-out - such a beautiful setup, creative cocktails, and a great atmosphere.

I ordered the Pappardelle Alfredo and for dessert, I chose the cheesecake, which was the best that I've ever had at a restaurant. It has a hint of lemon, and it was delicious. “I had the most incredible dinner at Giovanni's Trattu! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, welcoming, and authentically Italian. The service was impeccable, with our server being both attentive and knowledgeable.

The real star of the show, however, was the food. I ordered the Osso Buco, and it was simply divine. The veal was so tender it fell off the bone and melted in my mouth, and the rich, flavorful sauce was a perfect complement to the creamy risotto it was served on. “I came here during my lunch break on a weekday. All the pizza options were available and I got the buffalo chicken slice. I don't make that much $, but the pricing was totally worth it. ($6 I believe) The pictures don't do it justice, but if you like NY style thin crust with that grease drip, you'll love this. The crust had that dough bubble that I love, and you could hear the crunch echo throughout the cafeteria. I would love to see some gluten-light offerings in the future but for now? A quick bite for good quality? You won't be disappointed.“
