“My husband and I visited State Lunch recently and our experience was incredible… literally a perfect night out for us. The atmosphere is great, the bar is gorgeous! We started off with drinks, tried several margaritas, all delicious! Everything we ordered for dinner was cooked to perfection, the food options were unique and all amazing! … the waitstaff was very friendly and the owner makes himself a familiar face.. he makes it a point to stop by to say hello and make sure you’re enjoying yourselves… can’t wait to get back there! “I honestly didn't expect to find world class dining so close to home. My wife and i chose the Oak Table for our anniversary and we were happy we did. We sat at the Chefs table and chatted with Chef Dan as he prepared four courses with simple and precise flavors. Simple does not mean pedestrian. Just that each dish knows what its meant to accomplish and sets out for it with astounding focus. I would be remiss to forget the cocktails which were a flavor experience in and of themselves. We will be going back for next anniversary.“

“We don't go out for breakfast often anymore but when we do, this is always our first choice. The people are friendly and welcoming, and they remember us even if it's been a while. The food is always fresh and delicious and we leave happy and full every time. It's in a great place too. If you like people watching while having a hot meal, this is the place for you.
Highly recommend their grilled muffins. I usually take one to go lol

“Sandwiches are fantastic. We got the steak hoagie and chicken, cranberry, almond wrap. If you can call ahead you won't have to wait so long but they were short-handed with only two people working. Very friendly service, prices are excellent. We will definitely be back again.“

“The place is very loud but that is to be expected because it is a family joint. The service is good but it can be hit or miss. Last visit the server constantly forgot things so we sat waiting for food that did not come when everyone else had their food and then we had to remind the server (they passed by our table multiple times, so we got the impression they forgot). The server also seemed less organized than many of the others. Ordered steak medium rare and it was unevenly cooked with some parts medium rare and others well done. Other people at the table also ordered steak and theirs was done properly, so some inconsistency with food requests. Otherwise, food is always delicious and portions are enormous, especially salad, which is one of my favorite dishes!“

“I love this place. The service is great, the food is delicious and FAST, and the restaurant is always clean. I did down vote the atmosphere a bit because this is the first time I felt like an old lady (I'm 41) because I just could NOT hear our waiter. It wasn't super crowded but I had to keep making the poor lad repeat himself because the background noise was so loud. Overall, I look forward to coming back the next time I venture to Augusta.“

“Oh my god, Applebees. I told the waitress and I’ll say it again: Applebees has NO BUSINESS popping off like they did with my steak tonight. The bourbon one. Are you kidding me?? Is Applebees hiring 5 star chefs these days?? Seriously, top 5 steaks of my life, and I’m picky. That was fresh, too. The mushrooms were amazing, and the potatoes were a perfect compliment. Will absolutely return anytime whatever magician was in the kitchen tonight is on again. Seriously, be proud of yourself, whoever cooked that steak. Also our server was a lovely tall lady, the first host we saw was a nice guy with glasses who was pleasant, and second host was a nice tall young man who was quick and smiley. Thank you.“
