“My husband and I visited State Lunch recently and our experience was incredible… literally a perfect night out for us. The atmosphere is great, the bar is gorgeous! We started off with drinks, tried several margaritas, all delicious! Everything we ordered for dinner was cooked to perfection, the food options were unique and all amazing! … the waitstaff was very friendly and the owner makes himself a familiar face.. he makes it a point to stop by to say hello and make sure you’re enjoying yourselves… can’t wait to get back there! “Absolutely delicious meal at the chef’s bar. Between us, my wife and I had the baby kale salad, cheese course, grilled oyster mushrooms, fried cauliflower, pierogies, mushroom fettuccine, and the brisket. Every dish was outstanding. Highly recommend going!“

“I can not even begin to express how amazing Downtown Diner in Augusta is!!! Their food is out of this world and the service and atmosphere is top notch!!!! We traveled from 2 hours away in Millinocket to get 2 of our cats neutered and I am so glad I found this place on google!!!! Their corned beef hash and breakfast burrito is absolutely delicious!!! “Been a fan for 25+ years and only get a chance to eat there once a year due to living in northern Maine. Always pleasant staff but for some reason today when I asked my wife to stop in and grab me a Big Dave she also got herself an Italian. After paying she saw the Italian special to add a bag of chips and a soda and asked if she could pay the extra and get that and was told no because she had lettuce on her sandwich and that lettuce disqualified the lunch special. Sad that lettuce disqualifies a special but was told no other veggies disqualified it??? Sounds more like someone didn’t want to be bothered and was willing to pay the difference… just .59 cents. Got to do better“

“We do not recommend dinning in here as in our experience the service is far from good.. however the food was great! We will definitely order take out in the future but will not be returning to dine in. The server didn’t understand what my husband ordered (even though it was a beef enchilada) so he just put it in as a taco salad. So by the time he recieved the correct meal the rest of our party had already finished eating. The server didn’t ask if anyone would like a refill or another cocktail.“

“The place is very loud but that is to be expected because it is a family joint. The service is good but it can be hit or miss. Last visit the server constantly forgot things so we sat waiting for food that did not come when everyone else had their food and then we had to remind the server (they passed by our table multiple times, so we got the impression they forgot). The server also seemed less organized than many of the others. Ordered steak medium rare and it was unevenly cooked with some parts medium rare and others well done. Other people at the table also ordered steak and theirs was done properly, so some inconsistency with food requests. Otherwise, food is always delicious and portions are enormous, especially salad, which is one of my favorite dishes!“

“Nice experience in this Applebee's. It was pretty deserted. The food took quite some time, but nothing bad. Had the mozzarella sticks, fiesta lime chicken and barbecue chicken with shrimps. For the dessert lava cakes with ice creams, that were huge but weren't actually lava cake, but the hot sauce was put on top of it.“

“Sandwiches are fantastic. We got the steak hoagie and chicken, cranberry, almond wrap. If you can call ahead you won't have to wait so long but they were short-handed with only two people working. Very friendly service, prices are excellent. We will definitely be back again.“

“Usually we are happy as this place isnt as busy so we can get in and out. Took a few minutes to even be greeted at the door. Then longer then expected to take our order, not asked how everything was after a few bites so had to flag our server down, refill on fries was 12-15 minutes, freezing cold in there as well. People behind us had to flag down server via another server too. I understand short staff but dont seat people unless you can serve them.Not fair for the server, although she had 4 tables and food runners. 🤷‍♀️“
