“Got a turkey club sandwich. Was very good and fresh ingredients. Fries were thick cut. Pickle slice was large. Staff was very friendly, especially seeing we arrived 45 min. before closing (internet had the wrong hours). They didn't rush us, we only knew the time because we heard other patrons say it. This is at a golf course so has that vibe. The tavern is behind the main building, which is for functions. When you park, looking at the building, walk to the left and around back. Took us a minute to find it because out was dark.“

“I get my food for take out but the inside is great place to it. The food is delicious I have gotten the wraps chicken, Adana and kofte and the lamb kebab dinner all great. “Found this little brewery walking around downtown Portsmouth on a rainy day. We had popped into several boutiques to kill time and stay dry, so it was nice to stumble upon a nice watering hole to change things up!My boyfriend and I both got a flight and between the two of us we tried most of the beer on tap. Reasonably priced (I think $12 for 4 beer samples). They had a little of everything and all had a good flavor, there wasn't one that we didn't like. My boyfriend's favorite was the New England Gangsta (IPA) and mine was a sour... I'm the worst and forgot the name but it was a very mild and enjoyable sour that didn't leave you smacking your lips.We didn't try the food, but it all looked good from what was coming out around us. They have a "dog" side of the menu and a "cow" side... I feel like I'd be team hot "dog" if I did get food as those were best looking of all the food coming out!It was a cozy little place with some bar, table and cozy couch/chair seating. Small and intimate. The lady working was super nice and friendly, and checked on us enough but not to the point of annoyance. Loved the service and atmosphere a lot. If I was a local I would definitely frequent this watering hole! So if you are local, not sure what you're doing still reading this review... get your butt off the couch and go quench your thirst here!“

“Our first time at Dantes and definitely not going to be our last. Great atmosphere, waiter was great and the meals were amazing. I never take leftovers home but I did today. Portions were enough for 2 full meals. All 8 of us were very happy with our meals and we'll be going back soon. Thank you for an awesome dinner experience.“

It's reasonably priced and they have good beer options on tap.Parking: Very low cost to park on the street with plenty of spots. It's frequently free in the evening so be sure to check the signs.“

“I got the lumberjack burger and it was by far the best burger I have ever had. My dad got the hipster fries and I got the regular ones and they were both amazing but the hipster fries were less crunchy but still amazing. If there was a cheese sauce with them, they would be elevated to another level “

“We ordered appetizer and meals, and had tickets to the comedy show. I don't know why, and it irks me to no end, when the appetizer is served the same time or after the entrees. It's not an appetizer then, it's a side. Food was not up to their former standards. I had chicken parm. The chicken was blazing hot, the pasta cool, the sauce cool, and the cheese in top unmelted. We ordered the bruschetta, the balsamic vinegar glaze, although good, was really heavy. My husband's chicken was good, potatoes ok. The comedy was worth the whole trip. Amazing! Great intimate venue, great comedian. Service was spot-on. Tweak the kitchen and you have an all-star winner.“

“We recently discovered that Greg, the former chef and part owner of Cava in Portsmouth, opened this gem of a restaurant. He shared with us that one of his goals was to be inclusive and welcoming. Well, he accomplished this - and more. We had the best pizza we've eaten since our trip to Sicily, and the comfort and service were superb. We felt very much like we were in a local pub in Europe - homey and cozy and wonderfully delicious. It was well worth the drive from NH, and we'll be back soon!!!“

MAYTAG BLUE, ROQUEFORT, DANISH BLUE, SWEDISH BLUE, WISCONSIN BLUE, CASHEL BLUE, FRENCH BLUES, ALL OF THEM. ENGLISH STILTON. Have any of my readers out there ever enjoyed MAYTAG BLUE? This particular blue cheese is like eating silk - the fabric. Creamy, non-salty, not dry. But soft and lovely. So, easy to use. Very expensive, but so worth it. MAYTAG BLUE is hard to come by in New England, but oh my gosh. So, the Blue Cheese that Fury's used on my burger was NOT Maytag Blue, however the Blue they used was delightful. My burger was cooked to order. Not dry and overdone or RAW! But, just perfect, this is hard to come by these days! And then, they added the blue cheese. oh my goodness. So wonderful. They serve alcohol as well.“

“My husband and I love going here after a stressful week. It can be a pricey, but a good cigar can last an hour or longer, so it's worth it. And they always make great recommendations on what wine or scotch to pair with each cigar. We normally go here with a few friends and bring a card game along. I highly recommend!“

Only the Korean BBQ had the most flavor and I used it on my ? tacos. These tacos are not handheld and were served on a cooked soft tortilla that I had to use a fork ? and knife to eat.I have enough curiosity to visit again. “We’ve tried Sonny’s a few times now for both dinner and drinks and we always have a pleasant experience here. So far, we’ve really enjoyed any and all food we’ve ordered between apps and dinner, absolutely no complaints there. They have a ton of fun and unique drinks that are always delicious and easy to sip. It can get a little loud when they’re busy (which is quite often during dinner time) but the atmosphere is perfectly moody and somewhat hipster feeling which we really enjoy. Sonny’s is one of our go to’s if we’re looking for some good drinks and good American food.“

“Was late night Friday and not many places were open but we knew they were till 12 midnight so we stopped in and got dinner. If remember correctly they had about 10 beers on tap including local brewers beers which was nice they also had speciality drinks as well after ordering drinks we ordered a Bacon burger,Buffalo fingers and mozzarella sticks. The burger was great and the appetizers came out in minutes and were awesome! The menu didn't have any desert listed but we asked and they said they had a strawberry shortcake desert with ice cream and a brownie desert as well so we happily ordered both and they came out looking delicious and were not small in size. Both were great! It was a cold late night so it was quite in there but it looks as if there's normally a band and there's a bar and tables out on the back deck which is directly on the river and there's boats docked all along the back of restaurants. Definitely a cool place to eat on a summer night. I've heard it's really busy in summer time and on weekends and I could see why. There's tons of tvs, and lottery to play while you wait!“
