the basement is always chaotic, at least during the schoolyear. it's basically a club. so if you like crowded clubs, definitely come here. one downside is that the toilets in the basement have no dividers, and people make small talk with you as you do your business ?“

“An awesome, cozy little spot in Newmarket to grab a bite or see a show. My wife and I have been going there for years now since they started doing Bar Trivia on Wednesday nights. We always looked forward to coming in and getting one of the chicken sandwiches and a beer and doing some triv. It’s always pretty bumping in there at night and the staff are always quick and friendly. We’ve seen a couple of shows there as well and it’s a blast. The upstairs is decked out with couches and chairs to make it a little more intimate. This is one of the coolest spots in the Seacoast area and I’d recommend it to anyone!“
“Tried Hawks Nest Kitchen and Bar for the first time, it’s got that upper end pub feel with a great local crowd .. best kept secret is Maine Lunch is on tap. 😊
The truffled Hawk Tots are good and the burger with bleu cheese was great but ask for extra blue cheese. :)

“My love and I dined here last night. Our server was wonderful, and she enticed me with the Sea Bass Special. I've never ordered a special before, and..wow. The buttery flakiness of the fish, the perfect rice, and the bright salad dressing sent me to the moon. The old woman (delightful) brought us this amazing giant bread. Sara had the chicken kabob, and the meat was delectable. Our entire meal was amazing. $58 for two people (I had one Budweiser) is amazing. “Went on Thursday to meet a friend for a late lunch, I’ve been by the place but never inside. Needless to say I ordered a pizza and its hands down the best pizza i have had as long as I can remember! As we walked out we chatted about this place and now have a great spot to meet for food laughs and to talk about our work. He mentioned he saw a guy a couple of tables down get what looked like an awesome burger so i stopped by today and ordered it and it was just that, awesome!“

“Have dined here a couple times and the food was delicious, great service and cozy atmosphere. When it came time to need to host a private event here I couldn't be happier with how Kate and her team handled everything. Kate cares and it showed from our first conversation, during the meeting to plan, communication in between and wrapping things up after the event. Her staff working the event were also very friendly, efficient and kept things running smoothly. You can absolutely trust her and her team to handle your event. Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed the Railpenny Tavern that day and wanted to come back. We couldn't be happier with how our everything turned out. Thank you Kate and team! “Visited Fury’s for a private event. The food was put together wonderfully and deliciously and everyone was very attentive to our needs. My cocktail as perfect. I remember these old mills (Clarostat) when I was a young girl and I was pleasantly surprised to see how they’ve been transformed! There’s an outdoor deck with picnic tables on the water. If I ever cruise back thru Dover again I would definitely make it a stop to eat and enjoy a cocktail.“

“We recently had our wedding at the Inn and it was absolutely perfect from the ceremony, accommodations, cocktail hour on the patio, and inside reception space. Kelsey the coordinator was very helpful with the flow of the day and helping us at rehearsal. We gave the inn many tubs of decorations and the staff out together our dream wedding. We could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding.“
