Blaze Blue Hill Reviews
Horrible service- bartender (beard) has a mouth on him after you ask to order a second time. Table behind us that came in behind us was enjoying their food before we got to order drinks- at the bar. We ended up walking. Everyone has an off day, but this isn’t Bar Harbor Blaze. That’s for sure.
Stopped by traveling through the area. The atmosphere (outdoor dining), service and food all were amazing. Loved my drink and cocktail. Definitely on my list to stop again.
We always have such a great time at Blaze. We were in town twice last month and ate there both times. My kids still talk about how “cool” Amelia was.

Blaze Blue Hill is a welcoming restaurant in Blue Hill, Maine, known for its great food, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant features a view of the bay off the ocean, making it a lovely spot for both lunch and dinner. Visitors appreciate the attentive staff who provide excellent service without being intrusive. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including fish & chips, gnocchi with scallops, pizza, and a delicious bean burger, all served in generous portions. The pizza is especially popular, with some noting the mushroom pizza as a standout. The appetizers, such as lobster cream oysters and the barkeeps’ special offerings, add to the appeal. The outdoor beer garden and patio are dog-friendly, and the outdoor seating provides a delightful experience, especially with the view of the bay. The restaurant also hosts events like live music, which in the past has been loud but may have improved. Beers like amber, similar to Yuengling or Sam Adams Boston, are enjoyed, along with cocktails like the KnobCreek9 Old Fashioned. While most reviews highlight positive experiences, a few mention inconsistencies in food quality, such as soggy fries or acidic mussels, and some dishes like poutine and steak frites received mixed reviews. Overall, Blaze Blue Hill is a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike, offering a warm, friendly environment with tasty food, good drinks, and a beautiful view.
