About Tugboat Restaurant

The Tugboat Restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience on an old tugboat overlooking the harbor. The food is excellent, with options like fish fry, crab cakes, lobster bisque, and seafood chowder. The garlic fries and the bisque's "in your face" flavor stand out, and the chowder is packed with huge, flavorful seafood pieces. The ambiance is cozy, and the view of the bay is beautiful.

Guests have praised the French Onion Soup and the scallops, as well as the restaurant's nice location and pretty atmosphere. The Tugboat Annie's punch has been described as the best rum punch. While the portion of the steak frites may be smaller than expected, the prices are reasonable. The baked haddock has also been praised as delicious.

The servers are friendly and provide great service, making guests feel welcome and eager to return. The restaurant's orientation towards an older crowd may result in dishes with less seasoning, and the upper dining area can be quite warm, potentially due to the time of year or lack of central air.

Service in the bar was fantastic. Thanks you Deb! Your help with the lobster break down was awesome, good to know what your eating, lol. The lobster was delicious, perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced. Best Dirty Martini, again thank you Deb!

I was passing through in early June and was looking for a place on the harbor for the night with a water view and easy car parking. A local business owner suggested I stay at the Tugboat. I loved the view sitting on the chairs outside the room. I requested a room with a microwave. Not all have them.

The town was quiet as was the harbor and I got exercise walking the neighborhood. I eventually my way to the Tug boat restaurant next door and was greeted, —got my window...read full review
