Family dinner while staying at the Spruce point inn.Service was very attentive and personal and we really enjoyed our meals. We felt the appetizers were a little small but the entrees were decent portions with wonderful local flavor.
Absolutely gorgeous setting. It is worth going here just for the view. It is not the speediest of restaurants and the food is mediocre. But, this is not what you are going for. It is worth going to this restaurant for the view. I believe that the server was overworked. He needed help. But, it was an extraordinary wait for everything. (I don't fault him entirely, though. He had all the tables.) My pheasant was a little overcooked and my husband's dish was too liberally...
We have been coming here for years each summer. We used to stay but it became prohibitively expensive so we come for dinner. It is not exquisite like it was when it was the 88 and each year there is change and our experience is varied. This time the dining room was quiet with only 6 tables seated which was nice. Shocked that it's only open 4 days a week now. Clive was attentive and we were not rushed. The pace was good. The bread was stale as a rock and we heard other diners...
