Local reviewer - I drive by MacLeod's every week. I've eaten there maybe 5-6 times and have never been disappointed.Solid menu choices, typically leaning towards seafood but also sprinkled with other faves...French onion soup, Mac-and- Cheese, steaks, ribs, etc.Attentive service, fully stocked bar, small town vibe.
Great service and the food is A-#1!! Fresh seafood and elegant desserts!! Ambience was so relaxing and homey!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant! In business since 1980!!

This is on the main drag in Bucksport, ME. It looks like every sleepy little town mainstay restaurant I have ever been in, and with that comes a comfort level. Although it is not a sleek and shiny place, the dining area is nicely lit and very clean. It smells like good food that you are accustomed to eating, and that is not a bad thing.
