Good food, fast service, on point vibes, direct access to a bookstore. The only mark against it is the bookstore is a chain but that's not their fault. Worth all the trouble of finding parking!

Fabulous breakfast and lunch options. For an early breakfast it’s pretty much the only place in town that’s not fast food. Only open Friday through Monday which makes it just one of two non fast food places for lunch on Monday.

Cute coffee shop adjoining a bookstore. Good prices, fast service. Pastries and breakfast sammies looked good. We went on a Monday off-season, and there was a bit of a line. In-season and weekend might be more crowded and harder to park

Lovely coffee and tasty baked goods. Loved this was open early so we could walk by the water in the morning while the fog lifted.

Don't be fooled by the location in the book store. This is a super legit cafe. Great coffee, delicious breakfast sandwiches (get the SEC on a biscuit). They had the most insane strawberry cornbread cookie. I got 2, but should have picked up all 6.

Always busy not easy to get a table but awesome because it's right nextdoor to Sherman's book store.

Cool coffee shop attached to a bookstore.

Ate there Saturday 3/8 to grab lunch before a movie. It’s good for coffee and pastry but that’s about it. Had their famous grilled cheese sandwich. The cheese blend made sandwich soggy and cheeses were mushy and wet. Took two bites and that was it. Came in a tiny muffin cardboard takeout container, piled on top and squished in it. Ordered two broccoli quiche. Came in same cardboard container but wrapped in foil. Asked for it to be heated, but still cold inside and had no taste at all.Miss soups and sandwiches and salads.
Don’t recommend for lunch at all. Unless you want PB and J. Located inside Sherman bookstore, damariscotta.

Service & atmosphere are great as always, but unfortunately they got rid of their espresso bar which gave it that special extra touch. They also got rid of their tasty Mexican bowl option. The Mexican tot thing is very basic and can't even really pass as Californian style Mexican...This place is now not too different than any other basic diner(sigh); But it used to be so extra special.

Easily the best baked goods I've had for a long time, very clear passion in the food. I'm no baker myself but left inspired to learn bc none of the food where I live is like this

the buttermilk biscuits are a new obsession of mine. Great freshly baked items, friendly service, delicious drinks. Local art for sale on the walls. Browse the bookstore when you're done. Highly recommend
