Great spot for coffee and a breakfast sandwich! The service was good and the food was delicious!
Always such friendly folks!
It's small, but worth it! The food was delicious! Best I ever could hope for! Very friendly atmosphere!
Always busy not easy to get a table but awesome because it's right nextdoor to Sherman's book store.
Cool coffee shop attached to a bookstore.
Ate there Saturday 3/8 to grab lunch before a movie. It’s good for coffee and pastry but that’s about it. Had their famous grilled cheese sandwich. The cheese blend made sandwich soggy and cheeses were mushy and wet. Took two bites and that was it. Came in a tiny muffin cardboard takeout container, piled on top and squished in it. Ordered two broccoli quiche. Came in same cardboard container but wrapped in foil. Asked for it to be heated, but still cold inside and had no taste at all.Miss soups and sandwiches and salads.
Don’t recommend for lunch at all. Unless you want PB and J. Located inside Sherman bookstore, damariscotta.
Service & atmosphere are great as always, but unfortunately they got rid of their espresso bar which gave it that special extra touch. They also got rid of their tasty Mexican bowl option. The Mexican tot thing is very basic and can't even really pass as Californian style Mexican...This place is now not too different than any other basic diner(sigh); But it used to be so extra special.

Easily the best baked goods I've had for a long time, very clear passion in the food. I'm no baker myself but left inspired to learn bc none of the food where I live is like this

the buttermilk biscuits are a new obsession of mine. Great freshly baked items, friendly service, delicious drinks. Local art for sale on the walls. Browse the bookstore when you're done. Highly recommend

We go to Barn Door quite frequently for baked goods and coffee. We also just hired them to make cupcakes and a cake for our wedding! So delicious. Staff is very nice and easy to work with.

Wish it wasn't so far away. I had an excellent cappuccino and an egg white, veggie omelet on a homemade English muffin that I would love to have again. I might have to learn how to make home made English muffins :-)

The Barn Door Baking Co. is connected to the book shop. It’s a nice cafe with local artists artwork hung. The peanut butter cookie I tried was soooo gooey and chewy! Love that! And the mocha latte I had was delicious. Their service was fast and the atmosphere was lovely :) if I lived in the area, I would visit often! If you go, get the smoked salmon spread on the danish rye bread with the MDF micro greens. It was so dang good! If it wasn’t five dollars I’d order another :)

Kid-friendliness: The cafe is kid friendly. However, it can be tricky to fit our stroller inside on a busy day (understandably). There also isn't a ramp or level doorway in the front of the store. However, you can more easily bring a stroller if you enter through the bookstore in the back. I don't think there are any high chairs, although we haven't directly asked.

Love the vibe. Friendly staff, kept the line moving but didn’t rush us. Yummy iced mocha. Fresh baked goods. Good breakfast sandwich. Pricing is reasonable. Temperature is comfortable. Not too loud despite being busy on a Wednesday morning. Will come back.
