I walked into Oysterhead Pizza and immediately fell in love with it. Was it the decor? Even though it’s a very cool place to visit,a vibe that makes you love it as well. Was it the menu ? Definitely the most interesting menu i’ve ever seen! Was it the location? It’s right smack dab in downtown Damariscotta. Was it the most attentive Staff ever? They were more than happy to describe every slice of pizza in a loving prideful way with a smile (even though i’m sure he has repeatedly done this all day) Was it the,…. you get the picture. All of those things are true . But i walked into Oysterhead Pizza and have never been hit by the most amazing scent of what i can only describe as Heaven ! I have been in a lot of pizza joints. All i wanted to do was sit there and hope my food took longer than it should. I loved my experience and then the pizza was served and “Oh my God“ !!! Now i know where that Aroma was coming from. I savored every bite ! Then i went on thier FB page when i got home and never knew the extent of the unique dishes they create ,Amazing ! I live 2 1/2 hrs away and will visit again just to take in the Vibe. ( Oh and that smell, hmmmmmm.)

The restaurant has a deck which views the river and sunsets. We ordered the margarita pizza to go. Sadly, it was dry and the crust was at least 3” wide in much of it and inedible. There was very little pizza to enjoy and it was very disappointing.

Place is amazing!! Sitting on the deck smelling the the smoker was so nice. We got a pepperoni pizza, some smoked wings in their house buffalo space with ranch. Oh and got an absolutely amazing chocolate chip cooke to wrap it all up. Food was literally soooooo good. The wings fell off the bone! The ranch was super yummy too!! Great place for sure!
Pizza was excellent and so was the giant Chocolate Chip Sea Salt cookies was excellent! Dog friendly too!

Wow - I came in one day after kayaking for a slice, and then came back a second day for a slice. Such good solid pizza! The crust is tender - not overworked and tough like some other places. I highly recommend and will be back again when I am in the area!!!
