Hi-Hat Pancake House Reviews
Got the country fried steak plate. Everything was cooked to order and very tasty. Country gravy was ok. Maybe a little too much flour. Will definitely try again
Classic diner with good breakfast and combo plates. Really friendly staff.
I had breakfast here several times and lunch. I live over an hour away, so I don't get here as often as I'd like. The pancakes are big and fluffy like my Dad used to make! Fabulous! The bacon and eggs were yummy, too. The desserts and muffins were wonderful. The wait staff keeps the coffee coming and are friendly. I thought the prices were reasonable, too.
The Kennebec River Rail Trail is very close (across the street) and makes for a nice walk before or after your meal.

Hi-Hat Pancake House is a quaint, old-fashioned diner that offers both curbside service and ample indoor seating. Known for its monstrous portions and reasonable prices, the restaurant is a popular choice for breakfast, with customers praising the service as friendly and attentive. The pancakes are a must-try, and the Eggs Benedict and home fries are also recommended for their generous portions and fresh, perfectly cooked flavors. For lunch, they offer a meatloaf special, although some found the meatloaf to have too much filler. The dive-y ambience, while showing its age, is clean and adds to the restaurant's charm. The haddock chowder has been noted as some of the best diners have to offer. Daily specials and a large menu with many options for breakfast and lunch enhance the appeal. Ample parking is available. Though the building looks old and outdated, especially from the outside, the incredible food and top-notch service make this a must-visit spot. Don't let the looks of the place stop you.
