“Definitely open during the summer. Idk why it’s listed as temporarily closed. I ordered two scoops of dairy-free oreo on a cone. My eyes bugged out of my head when I saw what I’d done. They are MASSSIVE baseball sized scoops. Really dense ice cream and delicious.“

“We visited July 7 for the first time. The ice cream was great (can't go wrong with Shaker Park Pond) but the interior and layout is lovely and we melet Melissa, the owner, who was incredibly friendly. We'll go back for fancy coffee (and more ice cream) for certain!!“

“Cash only! Totally worth a stop. So many options. They have classic and unusual flavors. They have regular ice cream and also have coconut milk based, water based, and vegan options. Service was great. The kiddie size was pretty big - a 2 scoop at other places.

Parking: Big lot of free parking

“Best Ice Cream in our area for sure. Never anything to complain about. You should definitely give it a try.
I did just see a group of Boomers yelling at the poor ice cream scooper kid about how the Garside website says they make Rum Raisin but that they don't have it at the shop. Literally had to step in and put them in check so the dude could do his job. Yelling at a kid who has nothing to do with building the website or making the ice cream...?“
“My wife and I recently got married in Scarborough Maine, and neither of us much like cake.... however, we both LOVE Ben and Jerry's, so what better way to celebrate than by having Ice Cream Cakes! We touched base with Tom a few months ago and worked on getting our cakes planned out for the wedding. We ended up getting 4 large sheet cakes (each a different flavor combo) and a medium Heart Cake as our 'cutting' cake. Though not as flamboyantly decorated as some wedding cakes (a look we weren't looking for anyway) the Green and Blue icing flowers looked great, and the extra flourishes, and decorative chocolate pieces on the heart cake looked spectacular. And most importantly they tasted AMAZING! Both the DJ and Photographer said they have never seen people literally run up to get pieces of wedding cake before. I can't recommend Tom and his shop highly enough for anyone looking for Ice Cream Cakes for their next celebration! They were also very reasonably priced.“
“The best blizzards in southern Maine are at the Saco DQ, love that they use whole M&M’s in their blizzards instead of being all chopped up. Also they give plenty of treats in the blizzards and aren’t skimpy like other DQ’s I have been to.“

“People are pleasant and clean atmosphere. I gave 4 stars because I love homemade verses soft serve, but still a good quick treat! A few great options, but size is small for the amount of cost. Of course, I always love the ice cream cakes! Which if you had an app can gain points towards!“

“It’s a DQ in a dumpy strip mall but it is DQ nonetheless. Delicious soft serve. We ordered 2 kiddy cones because that’s the size we like. The nice young woman serving us said nothing about our order.
However two older (like us) were behind us and also ordered a kiddy size dish. She told them she wasn’t supposed to serve kiddy sizes to adults but she didn’t care and got them what they wanted. Good for her.
We ran into this ‘rule’ in a DQ in Westbrook, CT. We never went back. Was this idiotic rule set by Warren Buffet? Why is there this ridiculous rule.
We only want a certain amount of ice cream. Other people are on diets. Some have diabetes and need just a small amount.
Stop this insanity now. Glad there was a smart young woman running this place when we went in.“

“Great place to grab breakfast sandwiches and a coffee/tea/etc! Everything I’ve tried has been delicious! The vibe is great, plenty of seating including outdoor and indoor options. Plus, they have some cute merchandise from local artists at the front to purchase if desired. I highly suggest going!“

“Just had a clam roll and seafood platter with whole bellies from there as we were searching and having a hard time finding a place with large whole belly clams and not tiny clams like the other local restaurants serve. Love it and please try!“

“This dessert bar was the highlight of our trip. Absolutely love the decor and that they had non alcoholic rosè. The chocolate cake was delicious and had a chocolate ice cream layer and raspberry layer. Wish a place like this was more close by to where I live! Seemed to be a popular destination for many. Enjoyed the sweet cream ice cream next door and the unique flavors.“
