“I love Roots! Everything is freshly made and the owners are wicked friendly! My favorite smoothie bowl is the PB Cup and I adore their iced chai. ❤️ Will definitely be back!“

“We love Playa Bowls but I have to admit, this is probably the best fruit smoothie and fruit bowl place we've ever been. It had that healthy taste where you feel good after you eat it and it was super delicious. Great service and we ordered online and picked up.“

“The service is pretty typical of youth run franchise salad places. The communication is awkward and halting and brusk. They definitely appear as if you've interrupted an important tiktok video and are annoyed at your presence. The salads are good and it works if you are just grabbing lunch and going otherwise it's oddly sterile and unwelcoming“

“If you are traveling to Rye, head here for breakfast and lunch. Easy to pop off the beach. Took a Labor Day trip to Rye and ate breakfast here with my spouse three mornings in a row. I loved the lox bagel, avocado toast, common roots burrito, teas and espresso. We also shopped in the store for drinks and grocery. What a diamond of a business! One of the baristas with long dark hair was a real sweetheart every morning. Really kind staff, lots of locals popping in. I am very grateful for the honesty of the business as I left my purse there and Frank the GM (who makes hot sauce!) returned it to me. Great business!“

“I remember when the cafe was under construction 🚧. I finally had a chance to visit and I am glad I did!
Very friendly service. I had the Upstream with an Asiago bagel 🥯 with smoked salmon, pickled onion 🧅, avocado 🥑 and chive cream cheese. Delicious 😋!
The service really shined when I asked if they had chocolate 🥐 croissants. I was offered a Nutella Croissant which is a croissant sliced with Nutella in the center. Strawberries 🍓 are sliced and placed with it. Also delicious!
The medium roast drip coffee ☕ was really good!
Both my orders were brought to where I was sitting. The inside is nice 👍 with window 🪟 and couch 🛋️ seating.
Update: August 2025; The Cable Asiago Bagel 🥯 Sandwich was delicious 😋! I am not a fan of blueberry 🫐 muffins but the one I had was heated and served with a tasty butter 🧈. It washed down my coffee ☕ rather well!
I was told they are on their third 🥉 year. Congratulations 🎉!

“Maya and Ryan handled rush hour amazingly. Both girls worked together to complete tasks while also tending to guests. These are some of the sweetest girls i have met and i feel that they deserve a raise and some recognition for their work ethic!“
