“We just happened to stop here while doing the Maine Solar System and I’m so so so so thankful we did. Seriously just take my money!!!! The food was exceptional! We ordered the Cheeseburger with Homemade French fries and a bacon double cheeseburger with a baked potato. Both came with coleslaw. I could barely fit the double bacon cheeseburger in my mouth. It was made perfectly and the quality of the meat was top tier. I’m not even a burger fan and I are the entire burger. There was zero gristle which is a huge plus. I’m really happy with This place. It’s really really clean and you wouldn’t even know it was in a gas station if there weren’t pumps outside… highly recommend! Service was exceptional! 5 stars!!!!!”

“I cannot tell you how OUTSTANDING the food is here! These guys from Jacksonville Florida are not only THEE ONLY good place to eat in Houlton, Maine, they may have the best BBQ food in ALL of Maine! This is 5 Star place with reasonable prices and a very sociable and kind staff! Having lived in all parts of the country including Florida, this is a MUST DRIVE UP TO 4 Hours and a MUST STOP if you're anywhere near Houlton!”

“We booked a family celebration at the Upover and worked with Leslie and Marty! They were so easy to work with and correspond with. Leslie made us a fabulous charcuterie board and we had other delicious appetizers and ordered our dinner off their regular menu which had plenty of options for the adults and the children! We had a great bartender who waa very attentive to our group! Great service and my family would definitely book a function again with them or have dinner and drinks at the Downunder!”

“First time there and everything was delightful! We got a dozen donuts, a Danish, a strudel, and an iced sugar cookie. I can say the cookie was the best I've ever had and the strudel was amazing!! The donuts were all top notch as well! The prices were extremely reasonable too We will definitely be back!”

“Every other Sunday I have the opportunity to have breakfast with my daughter. We are here at 6 am greeted by Stacy with a cheerful giving attitude. I have met Ben and Missy and thanked them for the food they made. It was good. Business was slow so food came out quickly. I read a remark how bad and slow service was along with attitude of people here, wanting to complain to management. Our Sunday morning is a regular Sunday morning. This weekend was Rifle and Pistol show and the place was packed. The waitresses and cooks worked as fast as they could and can only do so much with how many working compared to how many people they are cooking for. If you want fast food, there is McDonald's. Even at McDonald's you have to wait for your food. If you want to sit down for a meal, you may need to wait. You sit down and get waited on and have to wait for food to be prepared. I like IHOP and I like McDonald's. Keep in mind one is a restaurant with sit down meal, the other is fast food. You make your destiny. PATIENCE is KEY when it's busy.”

“Best part of 1 item missing in everything we ordered were the TWO employees amongst the near empty chip rack, and numorus missing food items in the preptable! Good employees don't stick around when there is lack of preparedness within management. These two employees not only need but deserve recognition for holding the store together tonight. I will be back from Kansas City in the weeks to come.”
