“I was hired to shoot a wedding at The Asticou this fall and it was such an amazing experience! I didn't want to leave at the end of the night. I'm not exaggerating when I say that If I get booked there again I will try to get a room of my own and make a weekend out of it! I've shot at many venues in the Bar Harbor/Acadia area and this is probably my favorite. The venue is gorgeous, the grounds are scenic, and the staff is wonderful. I was particularly smitten with the design of the reception hall. Beautiful paintings everywhere. I was able to get some amazing portraits of the bride and groom in the botanical garden across the street. You simply can't go wrong with The Asticou for a wedding, event, or for your vacation lodgings.”

“Thanks Mike and Andre (and the other unnamed employees) We were in Bar Harbor for 3 nights: we ate dinner here twice and one lunch. We tried the whole fried clams: fantastic! Lobster, fried haddock, lobster, lobster stew and local beers. Super value and super fresh. All the employees were smiling and helpful. I highly recommend this place!!!!”

“You must eat here! The atmosphere is lovely and laid back. The drinks (and mocktails) are wonderful. The food... the food is fantastic! You can't go wrong with the apps, but the Dilly Pickled Veg is the perfect little zippy snack while you wait for your dinner. The entire dinner menu is truly inspired. The bang bang fried chicken is always a personal go to... but I opted for the Crab BLT tonight and was blown away! My hubby had the Lamb Shwarma and practically licked his plate... the pita alone was a light, fluffy delight. If you order the fries, which you most certainly should, get the garlic aioli... you'll thank me later, it's also good with the lamb. ;)”

“This place is doing absolutely beautiful things for this community. We had heard about it on one of the MDI pages. My husband and I wanted to check out the popovers but what we walked away with was so much more. We were welcomed in by the volunteers, given directions on how it all worked, and were able to have some incredible popovers while listening to music. We returned our last morning on island with our entire family, including our two dogs and enjoyed popovers as we sung along to songs from the Common Good Band. It was my 7 months olds first time on the island and I am so glad she got to experience all of that. Incredible Popovers, Awesome atmosphere and great cause. We can’t wait to come back on our next visit.”

“Chose Everyday Joe’s for breakfast because it’s a little off the strip and we could get in right away. The service and food is excellent! The atmosphere feels like a converted food market (which it is) and hence the name. But if you don’t care about ambiance you should try it. Our omelets were perfect and not too greasy which happens at a lot of breakfast places. The potatoes were amazing too. I recommend Everyday Joe’s for a great meal and a good value.”
