The rooms were beautifully appointed, the service was attentive and warm, and the location couldn’t have been more picturesque. Every detail felt thoughtful and refined. Dining at Little Fern was also a highlight—delicious food, elegant ambiance, and top-tier hospitality. But what truly made our trip unforgettable was our charter with Lady A. We were lucky enough to set out with Captain Alwyn, a knowledgeable and passionate local who brought the beauty of the area to life in such a personal and engaging way. From hidden coves to sweeping coastal views, every moment on the water felt like a scene from a dream. Captain Alwyn’s expertise, warmth, and deep roots in the community made the experience both relaxing and enriching. If you’re staying at the Claremont, I can’t recommend this experience enough. Treat yourself to a day on Lady A—it’s a must-do, and one of the most memorable parts of our Maine getaway.”

You can't go wrong with the apps, but the Dilly Pickled Veg is the perfect little zippy snack while you wait for your dinner. The entire dinner menu is truly inspired. The bang bang fried chicken is always a personal go to... but I opted for the Crab BLT tonight and was blown away! My hubby had the Lamb Shwarma and practically licked his plate... the pita alone was a light, fluffy delight. If you order the fries, which you most certainly should, get the garlic aioli... you'll thank me later, it's also good with the lamb. ;)”

It's a new family favorite in Bar Harbor, and I have converted to loving seafood and the raw menu because of the loft! The ahi tuna nachos were a hit all around and a big recommendation to try!
