I am new to the Old Town/Orono area and have been searching for a place with a welcoming atmosphere and an at home type of vibe - I think I found it. Although they were obviously busy, and seemingly understaffed, the bar manager Daniel was attentive and welcoming and always made sure myself and all the other patrons were well taken care of. Kostas was a pleasant surprise. My wife and I took our son out for lunch as he really doesn't like his college dining options. Our food was cooked perfectly. My son really enjoyed his gyro. He said the lamb was tender and cooked perfectly. My wife was highly complimentary of her BLT, that it actually had a good amount of crispy bacon and was the star of the sandwich. This is a wonderful restaurant and bar as long as you have realistic expectations. It isn't fancy, trendy, or romantic, but it is a friendly place full of local color. Personally I love eating there; it won't knock your socks off, but sometimes it's nice when your socks stay on.
