“We have been here several times both eating in and take out and I love their food! The staff is very nice and pleasant to chat with. They are happy to accommodate with a high chair for my kid and also talk to him and include him. It's just wonderful! The outside doesn't look like much but when you walk in its cozy and will continue to support this local buisness!”

“A great pizza joint. Pizza was delicious, got a free soda with our purchase. There is seating inside the restaraunt, it's comfortable inside. Not a whole lot of parking but enough for pickups and such. Good quality pizza, staff was very kind. I would go again.Parking: Not much parking but there is enough! ?”

“We had a wonderful meal at Kanu. We made reservations on line - very easy to do - and our table was ready. One person in our party ordered the salmon and the rest of us ordered the chicken taco special. All our meals were delicious. The only thing we disliked at Kanu was the noise level - a little loud for quiet conversation.”

“Has the one up the street in orono beat. Everytime I went to orono and asked for a midnight dark roast they would give me regular coffee like I could not tell. Last time I went back thru drive thru and dumped it out on the ground at the windo and have never gone back. Old town makes me a fresh pot if they don't have any made. If you advertise it you should sell it not give you something you did not order. Thank you old town DDs. Mustang guy.”

“I'm from the deep South. I have a hard time finding BBQ joints that are Southern quality in the North. This is one of those places. This tasted like home. They don't have a sampler, which is my only very slight complaint. They did, however, let me get a kids plate and add all the different barbecued goodness as sides. It cost me like $22 to get everything that I wanted like that plus a drink. I'm definitely going back.Vegetarian options: No, they don't have vegetarian barbecued meat.Kid-friendliness: They have kid's meals.”

“This is a great nutritonal spot in the greater Bangor area! My wife and I stopped here for a healthy breakfast before our hike. We each had a smoothie bowl. My wife had the Green Bowl and I had the Mainer and we each added protein to the bowls. The bowls were very hearty and filling, made with fresh ingredients and kept us feeling full for hours. The menu was lengthy and full of different options like teas, coffees, smoothies, smoothie/yogurt bowls and salads. The staff was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. “The food was top notch. Great service. Really cool space. Menu options are elevated without being snooty and pair so well with the curated wine and cocktail menu. We had The Brandied Camembert, The Pork Belly, Chicken and Waffles, and Birria Tacos. All were delicious, thoughtful, and expertly cooked, but the pork belly was done so well, so perfect, that I foresee an addiction developing. At 8pm on a Friday night we had no problem finding street parking out front. This place is jewel on the Bangor dining scene crown and should not be missed! Don't sleep on it!”

“I was visiting the area for a workshop. There was a huge ice snowstorm, and this lovely restaurant was one of the few open. The owner was extremely knowledgeable, gracious and accommodating to the three of us in the party. All of us had different food allergies. The food was amazing and you can see she puts her love and heart into everything she makes. Must visit restaurant if you’re in the area.Dietary restrictions: Her menu is mostly vegan and vegetarian. There are lots of gluten-free options. She makes all her own sauces and uses locally farmed vegetables.”
